Gurjeet Hotel by Naavagat

My sole purpose of 5 day visit to Amritsar was to sit at Harmandir Sahib and listen to divine Kirtan to recharge my spirits and I needed a peaceful & comfortable accommodation for my daily rest with amenities like readily available hot water for my daily bath, close to the Gurudwara, and Gurjeet Guest House served this purpose very nicely. The location is the best thing about this guest house as it is very close to the Gurudwara and yet away from the main street which means there is a lot of peace and quiet inside the guesthouse, which is exactly what I needed to get adequate rest. Thanks to Goibibo's discount, this guest house is surely value for money. On the 1st day of my trip, I fell down and escaped with a minor injury to my elbow (Thank God) and for that purpose I needed to apply some ice pack and the staff mostly cooperated in arranging the same for me. Food and Drinks I didn't try as I was travelling alone and the 24 hour Langar and Karah Prashad (Deg) of Harmandir Sahib more than sufficed for me. :) Suggestions for improvement: Both cleanliness of rooms and Service could do with some improvement because, at night, no one is there except for one attendant who is asleep and has to be woken up (I don't blame him because he also does the same duty during the day). He did wake up in his sleep to supply ice to me and I must thank him for that but I am just providing some constructive feedback so that this guest house becomes even better for its customers. If someone is travelling with family (kids, elderly etc.), they might need more assistance from the customer service than I did. I would conclude by stating that this was one of the most memorable and blessed trips of my life (My first ever trip to Amritsar alone and I was visiting after 2009) so much so that if I were to die today, I would die a satisfied and content man with the memories of my lovely time at Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar and I thank this guesthouse for being a part of this cherished trip of my life. :)

See this is a very honest review, this place is clean and the staff are amazing, at walking distance from The Golden Temple, overall a good experience must say, but yes I have given one star less for the condition of the linen. I think that is a major drawback with visitors who would want a halt here. When someone travels people check 2 things, clean bed and linen and clean washroom.Washrooms here are maintained, just that the management needs to look towards the linens. They are old, with stains and yes the blanket definitely needs to go to the laundry.Apart from these if you think you're good for one night please come over, not bad at all. At this budget, services like these are anyway rare. Rest a great experience altogether.Cheers!

Gurjeet Hotel by Naavagat was perfect. Location is best. Very near to Golden temple and Jaliyawala bag. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We reached there at around 11pm but staff came to pick us near Jaliyawala bag. I stayed here for two nights along with my parents, my wife and kid. Every one enjoyed the stay. Rooms were comfortable neat and clean. We we checked out I forgot my specs (a costly one) in hotel room. They couriered it to my address on their own without me requesting them to do it. This shows the level of honesty they have. I am very much impressed with Gurjeet Hotel by Naavagat staff and I recommend Gurjeet Hotel by Naavagat to every one wanting to stay near golden temple Amritsar.

Gurjeet Hotel by Naavagat is located so close to the Golden Temple, just 100 metres away. it's near the langar hall area and the shoe storage facility is also located nearby. it is also very close to jaliyanvala bagh. The rooms of Gurjeet Hotel by Naavagat are very spacious and the staff there is so cooperative. They arranged taxi for us for local sight seeing and also for the visit to wagha border. The manager there Mr. Rana is such a helpful person and this review would be incomplete without mentioning him. Special thanks to Mr. Rana for making our stay pleasant. Would love to stay there again on next visit.

Gurjeet Hotel by Naavagat is situated at approximately 350mts from the Golden Temple which is a very good location and just about 2-3kms from the Amritsar railway station. Coming to the booking, I booked via Go Ibibo and called them before and after my booking just to confirm it. The room which they gave was a big one indeed with long curtains in the window and a big bathroom. It was neat and clean and sanitised as well. The staffs are very cooperative and are available 24x7. Overall it was a very good experience in this hotel perfect for family/couple/solo travelers at a very affordable price.

good hotel near golden Temple good service by staff , room was neet and clean and spacious , AC was working properly , i booked standard room with AC , i found all thing promise by hotel mentioned in ibibo , bathroom was neet and clean and also specious, location was very nice its very close to golden Temple and jallianwala bagh only 2 min from hotel , you have to take two turn for golden Temple you have to take right and right and golden Temple will front of you same for jallianwala bagh you to take left and left , food was nice and staff was very friendly and helpful. everything was fine.

the room allotted to us was not at all spacious and ventilated.,, but hotel shifted us to another room , which was much bigger and ventilated as well, it had 2 side chairs (much required)...hygiene is satisfactory ... consider this hotel for a short stay... for long stays go for some bigger rooms .... service was good and prompt. You can get things done after asking... only let down was "no late checkout" policy .., may be due to lack of rooms ... otherwise a good option to spend a night or two.... dont expect too much

Hotel is in a very good location, only a few steps away is the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh, the staff is very supportive, especially the manager Rajiv ji is a very good person, good guide, very knowledgeable person and full of humanity. Room and bathroom was very clean. Everything was in order. AC was too much of a child. If you go for the Golden Temple, then definitely stay here and those who are from Jharkhand Bihar should stay exactly here only you will definitely satisfied with service this is my advice.

1. Location is an added advantage. It's very close to the Golden Temple. 2. Electricity cuts were a concern, because the backup only supported a lamp. Couldn't charge the gadgets due to no power in the sockets, when running on backup. 3. They should make some arrangements for early check-in. We had to rent another hotel for 3 hours, because we reached early and this place didn't have any space for us. No guest room, no waiting room. 4. Room was clean and tidy. 5. Overall, a good place to stay in budget.

Excellent hotel with excellent location located at the city center,extremely clean & comfortable . Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff Ildiko ,she makes our trip more interesting with her advices & tips about the city ,supermarket ,shops,restaurants bars are within walking distance. Would definetely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again Ildico for going just that little step extra for the guests!!!

every thing was fine during my stay.specious room,co operative staff.but there was only one thing which disappointed me so much. night at 11 o clock i called up on reception and asked for i jug of water for drinking and that person strait away replied me that "we cant provide a jug of water for drinking" ,we can only provide mineral water bottle.i did nt said any thing to him and bought my bottle from outside. its advise to hotel pl provide the traning to deal with coustomer on ph.

If you like to enjoy a pleasant stay near the Golden Temple in a budget-sensitive trip, then this is one of the best options available there. The rooms are spacious, clean wash rooms with 24-hours hot water and moreover, the well-behaved staff. This property is just at 2 minutes walking distance from Golden Temple's langar khana gate. This is a secured place to stay with your family. We enjoyed our stay and love to book our accommodation next time of our visit in the Golden City.

good rooms like a hotel rooms , good property , nice hospitality by all staff , room cleaning was good , we stay here for two nights and housekeeping staff clean us room 2 times , we feel good seeing like this kind of service , everything was good , one is the best thing of this , is this very near to golden Temple and Langer hall , and golden Temple auto stand you can go from here to everywhere Everytime!

good hotel near Golden Temple , its very close to langer hall gate and entrance, all basic amenities like hot water shampoo,soap , sleeper and towel they provide, neet & clean room bathroom also clean and spacious , hotel staff was friendly and helpful, shoaib was good manager and a guide for tourists all are ok price was also cheep , i think it is best hotel on the same price .

staff was polite and helpful, room was quite good and worth the price but the only concern was, it doesn't have any lift. So if you are carrying heavy luggage and get a room on 2nd or 3rd floor, it will be a trouble. Otherwise they'll help you get the luggage shifted but a lift would make the job much easier. Hopefully they consider building one. Location wise perfect.

Hotel location is good just 200 mtr from golden temple gate. Staff service is also overall good. As some renovation work is going in hotel but wen i left after 2 days stay they told me its completed. Mr anand is good friendly person he tried his best to resolve almost all queries i had while in stay. As i was a **** traveller it was overall Decent budget property.

Hotel is good but price is little bit high compare to the rating of Gurjeet Hotel by Naavagat room. The receptionist Mr. Rajeev kumar is a very nice and very helpfull person there, the main quality of Gurjeet Hotel by Naavagat is that person only, also Gurjeet Hotel by Naavagat is situated in a Gali at different location.Its near to lunger place.

good hotel near golden temple and jallianwala bagh , all basic amenities like soap shampoos , towel are available here , staff are very cooperative and helpful, specifically SHUAIB Bhai is very great man, he know everything about property and places of visits, are are good rooms are neet and cleans hygiene bathrooms, highly recommended.
