I will start with the location and amazing scenic view in and around this place. The resort is about 8 kilometers away from Madikeri Bus Stop straight ahead after crossing Club Mahindra property. Approach road is nice so no issues commuting to and from Madikeri town and attractions like Raja Seat, Abby Falls etc. Location of the resort is just amazing, insist on a cottage closer to restaurant so that you are elevated enough for the best view of lush green hills around and the view is not blocked by trees inside the resort. Restaurant and pool are situated at the top of the hill inside the resort and you get a beautiful view while you enjoy your supper or take a dip in the pool. They have a recreation room with pool table, TT table, carom, chess etc. Cottages are beautiful, one cottage being split in two rooms. Rooms are average but clean. Linens, toiletries, in room amenities are good. ( No minibar though). Food variety and quality is average ( I had a better food in some of the smaller restaurants around in Madikeri ). Things I liked about the place : Amazingly peaceful ( Specially on weekdays ) Beautiful views inside and around the resort Courteous staff Convenient location ( Not too far from Madikeri town center ) Amazingly located restaurant and swimming pool Recreation facilities Things that didn't impress me: Average Food No pick and drop facility from Bus Stop ( Transfers ) Rooms are small and somewhat damp with average amenities. Will I visit again? Definitely for the location :)
It was an amazing experience, resort is very clean and neat and best place to relax and to get some fresh air, resort is surrounded with greenery. Staff are very friendly and helpful specially Mr. Pavan at resturant who served us breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food prices are reasonable and tastes average, can't say it's very good but it's ok. I tried looking for their menu before I was going there but could not find any so I ve uploaded menu, may b it helps someone. Also I have some suggestions, it's very scary to walk around the resort after 7:30 pm as it's very dark and minimum lights so may be there should be more lights and also some work on road to reach this resort as almost 2 kms to this resort has many pathholes. This resort claims that use of single use plastic is zero and I appreciate that but this is not completely zero it is around 95% plastic free, as the kits provided like shaving kit, dental kit etc al comes in single use plastic so may be they can work on this to make 100% plastic free resort. overall it's a great experience and I highly recommend this resort and of course booking through Goibibo gave me the best price compared to others.
Stay at Heritabe resort was excellent. This is located close to Mahindra resort. Use google maps to reach this location. However you find directions to Heritage resort from Madikeri town. Resort is close to Abbey falls. Around 20mins drive to the falls. Food was excellent at resort. Room was clean and sufficient for 2 of us. Swimming pool was neat and maintained well. Ensure you have swim wear to enter the pool. Its located right in front of the Cafeteria. Sports room had TT, carrom, billiards, Shuttle. Wifi is restricted to Cafe and reception. It would be good if they arrange tours to near by places. Have a resort tour as well. One suggestion would be about waste disposal. Waste was stacked up inside resort within 20 feet from the room we were in and burnt. Lots of pollution and harm by it. Ensure you have better waste disposal method. Else it would be bad for guests and environment. Since Madikeri is such an excellent place, please contribute to more Greener and cleaner environment.
Located in the outskirts of Madikeri, this resort is for nature lovers, as its filled with greenery! It has an eco resort feeling as soon as you enter! A special welcome drink to cool your sense, swift check-in process and smiling faces greet you! The most of the rooms are cottage styled, 2 per building. These buildings are located at a distance from each other offering much needed privacy! Choose the top most rooms for a beautiful view! Cookies and a bowl of fruits welcome you into the room, which is neat and cosy, and sufficiently big. The best part of the resort is the infinity pool, adjacent to the restaurant. The pool is located at the highest level and the view is beautiful! The restaurant serves some delicious buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner and tastes pretty good too! We're definitely returning here in the monsoon!!
This is situated quite far from madikeri town.. road is lonely aftr sunset.. cottages has two rooms and mindwell u need to climb up to reach your room frm parking area.. restaurant is situated up on the hill soo everytime u need to climb up for meals.. view frm the rooms and restaurant iz amazing.. they have one of the best infinity pool near restaurant with good view.. food was good.. they didnt had buffet breakfast becoz of low occupancy.. very peaceful place to stay.. major drawback was they dnt have refrigerator in rooms.. overall good and relaxing place to stay for day or two and if you have your own vehicle it would be easier to roam around..
How u like this place depends upon what do u expect from ur trip. If u've come to roam n see all gardens n temples or waterfalls, then u might feel this place is a bit far away. Again if u feel that u can get a posh ambience for this price then u don't want to be here. This is an awesome place for those who want to have a peaceful time with ur partners. Here the resort is itself the place to see. Enjoy the landscape, the view from swimming pool n restaurant, n modern village kind of ambience. U can sit outside ur hut n have a coffee, or just lie down on the slope gazing stars in the clear sky. U can just roam around outside once u've checked out.
We had a pleasant stay during 28th Mar - 30th Mar 2016. The location of the resort is little bit away from the city/town, definitely needed for that scenic view. Either a rented cab or self driven car is needed for your accessibility to the city/town. Staffs are very friendly, one to mention Mr Harsha at the front desk was really cordial. Infinity pool is one of the main attraction & kids loved it, view from there was amazing. We had been given with complimentary breakfast and the food tasted good. we did had dinner one night, pretty expensive but the taste & quality are commendable. Overall an excellent time off & to beat the stress out.
As the name suggests its truly heritage, though amenities are modern! :) 1 star less in overall rating, as food quality was not so great, in fact cold at times. Otherwise swimming pool, indoor activities (pool, TT, Carroms, a library etc.), the location & courteousness of staff truly give a memorable experience. The view is also breathtaking. Would be better in monsoon, winter time I guess. Will definitely recommend to others & also think of a 2nd visit here. Recommendation not to take cottages 114 & 126 as the view is entrance driveway. 101-125 are bit higher & give a better view of the misty hills.
when you enter this is a lush green resort which enables you to enjoy fresh air and a serene environment. The hospitality of the staff is simply amazing. They are welcoming and courteous. The rooms are simply superb and the USP is their washroom as they even have a jaccuzi. The only drawback is the food. I can say the food is ok but not worth the price I am paying. I am a foodie and had to adjust which was not very good. As there is nothing around it makes it difficult to travel out and get food. I think the resort should work on their restaurant not only the food but the entire setup.
If someone is travelling to coorg to enjoy it's nature in its most raw form then this is the right place for you! Also the weather in this part is colder and surroundings are more serene than most other parts in coorg.Absolute value for money and also the food is very delicious healthy being mostly organic and wide varieties in both veg n non veg.The swimming pool is the forte and the best location in its premises plus the spa is excellent. All in all just come to enjoy and have a great peace of mind. The stay is a mix of luxury and Indian ethical feel.
Had booked this resort for just one day stay with family, was travelling with my 14 months old daughter..the stay included lunch, dinner n break fast..reached the resort at 1.30 pm and without making me wait the room was ready n immediately went for lunch. Lunch was good with decent varieties..dinner was too good especially mutton leg soup n mutton chops..swimming pool is really good..break fast also was good with decent spread buffet..check out was easy n quick. Overall a pleasant stay in heritage resorts..more deserts needs to be added in buffets..
Overall, it's a nice resort if visited in the right season Pros: 1. Nice ambience. The cottages are in pairs. So if you are two couples you would have a complete area of your own. 2. The food served in buffet is good value for money. The staff would be really helpful. 3. Clean decent sized swimming pool. Cons: 1. To access buffet hall or swimming pool you have to do a lot of climbing. 2. No AC which is a surprise at this price tag. The climate was too warm to our liking. 3. They discourage room service by putting unreasonable extra charges.
it was great stay ... Very pitcuresque location. Especially from the hilltop restaurant. Rooms were also decent. Food was alright. It was raining for a few hours in the afternoon and it made perfect sense to get drenched on bikes available in the resort. Plantation tour way too expensive. Can add a few swings etc in the garden for children as there are very limited activities for children. Soak the fresh air and enjoy the view. Water Quality was amazing, felt satiated everytime i drank some.
the views from the resort are stunning, especially the early morning time, to feel the crisp clean air, chirping birds, dew drops on trees, sun rays peeking through the leaves is an altogether different experience. at night we got to witness so many fireflies which was the highlight of the trip. the view from the pool is breathtaking. food was good, no complaints. the only con we felt was the room was okay but we didn’t get the luxury feel. overall stay was hassle free and we were happy.
We (family of 3) went for 2 nights stay early Sept 2016. Experience we had in the resort has been extremely pleasant. Our daughter (4yrs old) just loved the cottage, swimming pool and surroundings. Cottage was very nice and clean. Services offered were very good (restaurant and amenities). We did make use of health club and experience has been positive. Food (all meals) have been tasty and had good variety too (especially breakfast). All in all very good experience.
The food was TERRIBLE. Apart from that the suite cottage we stayed at was spacious and nice. Room service is quite poor with them not doing a very good job. For example we had food in our room the previous day and when house keeping cane to clean the room the next day they never even cleaned the table. For the money we paid I feel lying a little more and staying at Taj Madikeri next time would be a good option that staying at heritage resort.
We booked this hotel for luxury stay and just to chill out after our travel. Hospitality was good. It has lot of free space to roam around. They have very limited rooms so lesser crowd and better experience. Rooms are given Vintage look and gives sassy feel. it has all standard aminities expected out of 4* property. it was really good experience, we played games, enjoyed jacuzzi in our rooms and chilled in Pool.
We really enjoyed the stay more than the other sight seeing places around. it's a 10 acre property with beautifully done landscape and pool design. Food was continental and I enjoyed it but my wife felt bland. it would be delightful if we get coffee anytime free of cost as this is land of coffee. Cottage is nicely equipped but they have to do a round of last minute checks as the extra bed wasn't removed.
The ambience is the main highlight about Heritage Resort Coorg. We got a villa on the top near to the pool and the restaurant, so it was easy to walk up. The staff were really helpful, even if the time for the pool was over, I jumped in without much restrictions. and it was really good swimming there at night. The food is of good quality, we have had breakfast and dinner for 2 days from there.
Relaxing stay at Heritage with mother nature, far from the city's life. Had a nice time with my small family and would like to visit again. Food was really nice and service was good as well. The view from dining area and pool area is amazing.!!!! Overall good property to stay. Very friendly, the cook even prepared special food for my 1.3 year old kid and allowed to take it to the room.!!!!
