Second time there. The USP there is definitely the cottages with balconies offering a nice view of the karapuzha dam.Nature is at its best here.. Beds are not that cozy. But still nothing to complain about. Staff are very courteous and friendly. Indoor recreation/gym area has basic equipments like threadmill,TT table, fuzz ball, carroms.I feel a snooker table could have also have been kept which is common nowdays in most of the resorts. On independence day eve, they had arranged a magic show & shadow photography event for the guests. The events performed by an elderly couple was quite good.Kudos to the management for giving them a chance. The only point I feel they can do better is to make their food options more exciting.Had schewzan Fried rice which was not at all spicy and chicken tikka which was very small in size. While the cost is nominal, the size of the pieces when before us was disappointing.Baaji given with poori for breakfast was not that tasty and was bland. However, the sambar given with dosa was tasty.Bouled Tapioca/poola given was a good option. However, they could have given fishy gravy/green chilly tamarind mash etc as an accompaniment instead of the chutney. Concluding, hoping that the management takes real care in improving the food quality from okok to excellent,i'd recommend this resort for couples & family.

Hi.We wanted to spend some quality time with our 4 and 1/2 year old daughter...iam carrying so wanted some calm resort to relax....kerala has been one of our favourite far seen Munnar Cochin already visited wayanad twice and we decided again wayanad seeing the reviews of Karaphuza village resort..resort was awesome it had neatly maintained swimming pool with play area which kept my kid.busy for.both the days.. we planned this trip on week day and got complete privacy...we stayed there for 2 welcome drink was.served..the view from balcony was really see mountains..trees and a wil all be surrounded by chirping of birds late evenings and early was well furnished..bath room too had all basic things including tooth brush and shaving will have pipeing hot water any time..but it is a separate tap..and if you wish to take shower than you can take only cold water shower... food was good..they considered our request for idli and cooked it next morning..One suggestion is to keep tea kettle in the was a very relaxing trip..staff was polite ...over all a good.experience..

Karapuzha Village Resort is definitely a value for money. The feel of the place was amazing with extremely good customer service. The only drawback you might feel if that you can reach the place only if you have a car since the road accessibility is a bit of an issue. May be it might be a good idea to check if the resort folks cab help you with pick up and drop. From a sight seeing point of view, you can stay at the resort, visit places anf come back since too much ciry access might not be poasible. But once you reach the resort, it's a very relaxing and peaceful experience. The food available is good as well so you don't need to bother about arranging the same since the city might not provide you with too many outlet options. The massage service available is very good. I got it done by Malathi who teaches the art of ayurveda massaging to students. She was an expert. For the services, location, ambience it provides - it is definitely value for money

A reasonably good resort for the price they charge. rooms are spacious, clean. Bathrooms were also clean. The reception check-in procedure were quick and smooth and we were given a welcome drink. The resort has free wifi which is available in all common area. And even in most of the rooms you will get wifi range. Hot water was available freely. Resort has a small play area for children and a bird cage with around 10 pigeon birds which are left open freely in the mornings. It was great amusement for small children. the lake view is not very great, its just a normal water body, however lake view room will ofcourse be better and bigger. Food was OK. Staff was helpful. Overall a great place to have a enjoyable stay in a remote location. Approach road has enough sign boards leading to resort, road is OK.

location is near to some visiting points like karapuzha dam. banasura sagar dam is not much far from dis. ours was waterfront room with balcony view of karapuzha dam. property is nice. nice cleanliness and ambience. so many amenities for kids to play.they r having pond with fish within, pegions which kids like to enjoyy. restaurent is on water and view from restau is ausum. however as v visited in rainy season not many visitors so dat restau was closed and they arranged food in another small resatu they r having. everytng was ok. stay was good. only pitfalls r leaa food options and no ac in rooms. however their cook provided special food for our 2 yrs old son as v recommended.. i wil recommend this hotel.

This resort is awesome. Our family was 4 and every minute was enjoyable. The approach road was under construction and we had to take jeep rides. The lake facing view from the rooms were really amazing. Luckily we escaped the rains. The rooms are new and the resort ambience is really great. There should be improvement in the indoor games area. The management should look at adding pool table, which would be a good entertainment for guests. There was Personalized touch and hospitality from the entire staff. Food was excellent during entire stay. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner for all the 3 days of our stay. I give them full rating and would recommend this resort to people.

Located right on the banks of a reservoir topped with an amazingly friendly management and staff makes this property one of the best in Wayanad. You can be sure that you will wake up to the chirping of birds as thats pretty much the only sound audible at this serene location. The balcony of the cottage overlooking the dam is the perfect spot to spend time reading a book or writing one or just looking at the view around you for hours together. The food however is below average and the kitchen department needs some improvement. No questions on the service though, the staff is well aware of how to make the guests comfortable. Will i go here again? - Without a doubt!

Brilliant location, okayish food, comfortable cottages. The property is placed at a very scenic area. The cottages have a beautiful reservoir view from the balcony. The cottages are very comfortable and spacious. Tv, refrigerator, Geysers and toiletries provided. The staff is very courteous. Sufficient and safe car parking. A dining area with a view just adds on to the beauty of the place. The property could have done better if there was some open space and may be lesser plants or farther cottages. Apart from this, lunch and dinner could be improved, not the best I've had. However it was a pleasant stay and we enjoyed the balcony view specifically!

The location of this place is fab. However they are surrounded by tribal settlements on all 3 sides.Even a walk to the lake neccesitates going through the huts with dogs chasing you. Also these villagers have dug wells to get water all over the lakeshore which is very dangerous. Therefore this is an OK resort with very good staff if you are going to stay inside the resort itself. However if you have booked this and are thinking about actually being by the water you will be sorely disappointed. Our idea was to fish by the waterside but every time we went there the kids from the huts showed up to disturb us.

This is a very good place to relax with nature and amazing lake view.. The resort is maintained cleanly. The gardens and the place gives a calm atmosphere. Food served here is extremely delicious and they give a quick response. Very impressed by the ambiance of this resort. This is a pleasant stay with value for money. This resort maintains a good standard for everything but the only disappointment is they dont have card facility. Need to travel 2 kms for atm. Breakfast included in package was good. Scenic resort with some beautiful pigeons chirping and early morning fog filled glittering lake view.

Supeerbbb!! i stayed Karapuzha Nest resort(@adjacent ) before day of check in at this resort. So it's very easy to jump from nest to village. Awesome atmosphere n cool climate always. Far away from town so the sounds only like birds, cooing .etc. breakfast was awesome . Dinner we had from outside a hotel Glorion. lil costly food here. Tea cost 30 /-. Staffs were outstanding n responsive. Staff ASHID help to make baby food from their kitchen. So helpful.Tribe's were near to resort . But i recommend they are also human being, we must see their life. Whatever resort were supeeerb.Worth money.

    • Mohammed Sahanawaz

Resort location is very good and scenic. I must recommend this. But road to resort is not OK. The road heading to resort of about 0.5km is too narrow and not suitable for car entry. But manageable. This is the only demerit of the resort. Else I could give 5 star rating which is value for money. Breakfast included in package was good. However other food orders like lunch and dinner must improve in taste. As compared to price food items are not upto mark. Better to have dinner outside the resort. Overall experience in the resort is good and pleasant stay with value for money.

    • Reetika Nanda

The staff are extremely courteous and well behaved. Rooms are clean and spacious with a view of the lake. There is badminton court, health club, indoor sports so if you plan to just be at Karapuzha Village Resort and relax you can do so. We went for sightseeing on the first day and on the second day decided just to relax and enjoy at the resort. You can also try out their spa facility. Overall had a great time at Karapuzha Village Resort. As far as Wayanad is concerned we had greater expectation as we had heard a lot about this place but nevertheless it was a good experience.

We booked our stay at Karapuzha village resort based on few reviews and trust me we were not at all disappointed. Thanks for those reviews and hope this review helps others. The resort is in a pretty good location. One can enjoy the greenery on reaching the resort itself. They have maintained it well. Service is quick and good. Must say the complementary breakfast is good too. For lunch/dinner vegetarian food was not so good but nv does rock. Amenities are good as well. Overall a nicest place stay for 2-3 days with a decent tariff.

    • Mallikarjun Gokle

It is located at a very beautiful location 270 degrees covered by water. Very peaceful place away from all the city noise. I would definitely recommend this place for family. Staff is very helpful and courteous. I would expect them to provide Internet in all the rooms for the price they charge and also I would expect them to have all the channels on the TV( I got only 34 channels and 30 of them were Malayalam). Food was good and they can arrange for Ayurvedic massages on request

    • Khaja Mulla

The location is really good , it's on the banks of a river , very quiet and peaceful place . If you are a person who loves nature then this is one of the best places to visit. We booked deluxe water front rooms, they were very clean and neat. Food was tasty , prices of snacks are a little on a higher side, but that compensated with a cheap dinner prices. Complimentary breakfast was the best :) :) Last but not the least "The Kerala Ayurveda body massage was the best :)

    • Rachit Patel

excellent location. very much helping staff. very much clean and maintained property. for those who want to get away from city life and stay at quite and calm place surrounded by nature, this is the place. staff is very much helping for whatever you ask them for. only minus point is, road to the resort is very bad. especially last 200 metres, there is no road as such. but its worth driving close to off road for the location.

    • Sharang Singh

The resort has a very quaint and beautiful location. A bit remote but away from all the hustle. The staff is good and cooperative. The food was decent too. A magic show and flag hoisting was organised by the resort as it was Independence day. The property is big and well maintained. The pool and rooms could have been maintained better, which was pointed out and the management duly noted that. Take your own vehicle if possible.

    • Kushagra Mittal

A great value for money for less than 2,200 per day. The positives also include excellent amenities, nice room, clean swimming pool, hospitable staff. Downsides: (i) The last km road was nothing more than huge boulders - almost impossible to drive, (ii) Most of the breakfast items were cold, (iii) The wi-fi was accessible from only the central region (including park, lounge, pool, common roof etc., but not from the rooms.

    • Arvind Kamble

The approach road is pretty bad. they must do something about it pretty soon. breakfast was not no upto the mark. the bathroom was too small. rest the property is quite appealing with the lake view ,service was good. They had a bonfire going the night we arrived.but the sound system and choice of music was very bad. they must get these points which I mentioned set right to make it a wonderful resort to stay in.
