Tamizh Park

I booked two rooms in Hotel Tamizh Park for my family visit to Pondicherry. LOCATION AND EASE TO REACH To start with, after reaching Ponidcherry (via bus from Chennai) we had no problem locating Tamizh Park; as the taxi n Auto people are well verse with the location of Tamizh Park (by name itself). (Tamizh Park is well located at a distance of 3-4 Km from the bus stand and just 2 Km form the rocky beach and Aurobindo Ashram.) ROOMS After reaching we were given a warm welcome by the reception people. The sitting area near the reception is well maintained. Thereafter, we moved to the rooms which are well maintained, very clean and spacious. The AC was working fine too and we were able to relax soon after reaching the room. The washroom are well maintained and designed with latest sanitary. STAY AT Tamizh Park The stay at Tamizh Park was very pleasant and we had not problem what so ever inside Tamizh Park. STAFF AT Tamizh Park The staff at Tamizh Park are all cooperative. I WOULD LIKE TO SPECIALLY HIGHLIGHT THE EFFORTS PUT IN BY MS. RAJESHWARI AND MR. PRABHU TO MAKE OUR STAY PLEASANT AS WELL AS A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE. They are very cooperative, well spoken and have a good knowledge of the places around (to visit and way to reach these places). They were very helpful and did there level best to help us in whatever we asked/inquired. RESTAURANT The buffet breakfast served is really good with decent enough variety. The staff of restaurant is cultured and well behaved. We also had lunch and dinner at the same place, the food was OK and the prices were fine too given it being a tourist place.

Tamizh Park welcomes the guest with a garbage box. Yes, there is one placed by the corporation right in front of Tamizh Park which made me think if I made a wrong choice. But no, once you enter the lobby you won't feel that. Neat and clean lobby with courteous staffs. The room which was allocated to us was well maintained and comfortable. But I guess they don't have a in house laundry. Dumped all used quilts, bath towels etc., in the pathway which is a bit embarrassing, makes you feel if the one placed in your room was once dumped like this. The complimentary breakfast wasn't that good but yes they say it complimentary and nothing much to expect. If you are looking to spend your weekend in Pondicherry, no this is not the right place since this hotel is far away from the beach. If you have your won vehicle that's fine but you may get held up in the city's heavy traffic since this hotel is in the heart of the city. Since you are within city limits you will certainly find some restaurants nearby, if you think the food in their restaurant is costly (a water bottle was charged Rs.43.00/- OMG... !!! :-O) . Overall the rooms are well maintained and good for a family or couples and yes this will fall within your budget (For lodging alone). I would certainly recommend this to my friends and family.

I planned for the weekend stay ..,i had booked this hotel in an offer ....that was around **for 2 days,the room given was not that good, I mean the bathroom was really very small and some sort of smell was continuously coming,the room was pretty good(enough for the 2 days stay) ,don't expect the room to be bigger for the standard room when u book online and I guess that room was ok for couple's stay(i am not sure that I was given smaller room, bcoz I booked in such discounted price), if you have a bike,then you won't have any issues for travelling,bcoz Tamizh Park is slightly far from whites and heritage town(about 3 kms), the stay was pretty decent and Tamizh Park staffs responded well and it was a good stay. I would say couples can have a safe stay - we had no bath towels and toothpaste kit in the room,we had to ask for it, so if you are traveling, check for it priorly so u can have undisturbed stay that you don't want to call and ask them.

As concerned with hotel...its location is very nice & you can cover most of tourist places around 5 km from hotel on going straigt roads.. tourist places like pondicherry beach , arvindo ashram, pararadise beach temple.. Auro billa.. all you get get nearest to it..on a single stright road. 2nd thing in hotel staff was good and specially on reception MR. Raj is very nice person. breakfast is very good with several food items in it fpr choice. but if you asking for north indian food then you will get little bit disappointment as they are not in good in that, but presentation of food is good. further you ,may get service issues after 10pm for water some small requirements.. ovearalll in conclusion Tamizh Park is good enough to stay over there.experience is good with it. finally its cost effective , economic and good enough to stay there in pondicherry. It was good experience. Rooms are neat and clean. Standard rooms are bit small its impossiable to accomdate the 3rd person. Even if u r travelling with kid then for 3 person to sleep on bed becomes bit congested. Dont have much option in breakfast and taste was ok ok. Location wise it is around 6km to rock beach and places from hotel. If you are travelling by your own car then u ll have problem in parking. There is littel space for parking , if their is any event organised in Tamizh Park then you will not have parking and you have to park your car on roadside. Regarding Staff they are very friendly and supportive.At time of checkin room that i had booked was not available , instead of making us wait they allowed us to check in to a delux room once room was ready they shifted us to standard room. Clean and neat room

When I booked this hotel through goibibo offer I was little apprehensive about the kind of reception and service I would get at Tamizh Park since I was not the normal walkin customer. But believe me people I was in for a great shock. The kind of service I got at Tamizh Park especially from Mr. Prabhu and Raj was amazing and very warm. They didn't leave any stone unturned in making us feel welcomed there. Ambience, atmosphere, hygiene, quality of food etc was really a thumbs up. Yes it is located little towards the farther side from the main city but this hotel is worth every mile. I would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone, couple, family or solo. Everytime I am in Pondy, this is the place I am booking my stay with..keep up the good work Tamizh Park people!!

I booked 2 suite room, 1 was big and 1 was small, do not know why..... Other than this point no worries at all. Location wise bit inside, though google map shows, MAPMYINDIA does not show (so take a print if you drive) Service was nice. Beds and Toilets were clean. Reception was cool, like to mention Prabhu Lourdes who was always greeting and answering with smile. I forgot the travel desk gentlemen name, even though we did not utilize the service he often came to help my parents to walk over steps. Food is fine in the GF restaurant (do not look for big spread but its good enough to break the fast) Car park watchman was also prompt. Though there is a bar in first floor, no disturbance cam to us. (for people who fear bar, take note)

Hotel is on nice location. Pondicherry's major attraction are easily accessible. In terms of food and beverages, the food quality and its taste is above the average. We had breakfast in the morning. The breakfast consists of south indian delicacies, like idli, dosa, medhu vada etc. Breakfast was good. and in dinner we had schezwaan noodles. The noodles is too spicy to eat. I never had that much spice shezwan noodles before. The only issue was, the complete toiletries is not available in the baasthroon. They provided toothpaste to us, but not toothbrush. Other than this, everything is fine. Its a best hotel in town according to its tariff. Will recommend to those whose budget is around 1500.

The All in One Hotel- I was really pleased when I saw the rooms of Tamizh Park in goibibo and I went ahead with the booking. The reviews helped me a lot. Tamizh Park was not at all hard to find. Tamizh park boasts of having an in house bar and restaurant. The discounts offered by goibibo is awesome and I must say that this is the best hotel for the price which goibibo offers. The staff is courteous and helpful. The food at the bar was awesome.. There were offers like buy one drink and get one free in the bar. I confess that in my next visit to Pondicherry, this will be my first choice. Kudos to Tamizh Park Management team band keep serving us well like this..

This hotel is absolute value for money. Service is excellent, house keeping is excellent, food is awesome. Essentials like dental kit, shaving kit, shower cap etc provided. AC is effective. WI-FI is super fast. Wi-fi Coupons were provided even before asking. We stayed at room no 104 and its an excellent room. Location is a bit away but autos are easilty available and OLA service is excellent in Pondicherry. Staff is super-cooperative. Complimentary breakfast is excellent. Non-south Indians also get an option to eat breakfast of their choice. I would recommend it to all as its an excellent place to stay at Pondicherry.

Best budget hotel in Middle town of Pondy. Rooms compact and sufficient enough for 2. Toiletries available. Additional thing is availability of electric kettle. Food is good. Complimentary breakfast is complete and satisfactory. Limited closed Car parking available. Only negative thing is the receptionist who was there on both night and day duties who never showed any sign of hospitality. No smile no welcome no reply for questions no fitting rply for calls made from room. Better they be taught on what's the duty of a receptionist. Only disappointment in the entire stay was the receptionist. Location and car parking

I was on a vacation with 2 of my friends in Tamizh Park. The service and the staff members of Tamizh Park were very friendly and jovial, the restaurant in Tamizh Park use to serve complimentary break fast with lot of variety of cuisine which was part of our package however was delicious and the prices for lunch and diner was affordable. We stayed in Tamizh Park for 5 days and i mus admit it was worth it.I would highly recommend this hotel for every one, not only group of friends or family. They beach is not far from Tamizh Park and i would also recommend to travel by two wheeler which you can opt at Tamizh Park.

After searching a lot of family hotels finally i decide to stay in Tamizh Park. It was my best decision. When you are travelling with family you are looking for every aspect and this hotel reached all and above my expectation. We travelled from Bangalore and reached Tamizh Park at 7.30AM. Their check-in time at 2.00PM but they were so nice to allow us early check-in at 8.30AM and also arranged Activa for sight seeing. Had dinner at Hotel.Food was good and service was excellent. Finally it was a memorable experience. Many thanks to Mr. Raj, a Great hospitality professional. Tamizh Park Best Family Hotel.

We checked in sometime in the afternoon of October 3, 2014, after having a terrible experience at Ginger Hotel Pondicherry. I had little to no expectations from Tamizh Park, but to my surprise it was probably one of my better holiday experiences. The reception guys were very cordial. The house staff was equally cooperative. The room service were quick to respond to our calls. The room was as it should have been with cleanliness all around, washed linen, and great rest room. Overall this hotel is highly recommended for people who are looking for budget stay. Warm Regards Manish Tripathi

Really an awesome experience. Though the location was a LITTLE far from Pondicherry shopping street rest all is uber sexy fine, the hospitality the behavior and the kindness the staff shows you is really great. They have a complementary breakfast which was really much better than what we expected, and the in door restaurant and bar are an added advantage, while they never restrict if you wanna get from outside if concerned about the bar prices, it is 100% value for money and I would recommended each and every one having a private vehicle to book this through goibibo or mmt for some cool offers

This is a very nice hotel. Rooms were clean and nicely done. They clean room once in a day too so it was well maintained. Nice room service and nice staff. We didnt try any food though but they have a bar and restaurant both. This place is kind of in middle of Pondicherry, you will have to travel 4-5 km in every direction and you will get everything. White town is 4km, auroville is 9-10km, paradise beach is 7-8km rest all shopping streets are around 3km far. Buses are also available for bus stand from the same road. We had a nice stay.

Good place to stay in Pondicherry as it's close to all major tourist destinations. Friendly staff especially Mr Abdul Basit from Restaurant department , breakfast was good. Mr Shiva from housekeeping department , upon request changed room within 5 mins. Standard AC rooms are compact , ideal for 2 members. toiletries & Tea items including glasses were missing, only Electric Kettle & soap was provided, this can add further to customer delight. Overall experience from all 9 family members was good. Thank you team Tamizh, All the best.

One of my best hotel experience. Very neat and clean rooms with reasonable price. They have their own bar and restaurant and food is very good with affordable price. Complementary breakfast was also good. Staffs were very nice and co-operative. Tamizh Park is a bit far (5km) from the sea beach considering Pondicherry being a small city. But if you are renting a bike or car that should not be a big concern. Even they provide scooty/activa for rent as well. Overall it was a really good experice. Recommended to everyone

We stayed there just for a night and I was very surprised that the rooms very clean including bathroom. The AC was working, staff was very friendly. They had a complimentary breakfast buffet and the food was good Typical south indian spread, but was good. Its just about 5 kms away from Aurbindo Ashram and other major attractions. It's basically one single straight road to reach those places. Would highly recommend this hotel, hoping that they maintain the same level of cleanliness and are customer friendly.

We went in night, till then rooms were not cleaned but once it done whole stay was really good. Since we are late we asked Tamizh Park to arrange food and all for us and they readily done that. Food was not that good but since it was cold and we were late can't complain for the same. Breakfast was also decent,Hotel is a bit far from sea but there staff is very supportive..One of my frd left her jewellery there and on calling they securely kept the same for us and returned us as well. Overall a nice experience.
