This has to be one of the best places in Wayanad! A calm and relaxed stay.Just keep in mind that this is probably close to top of the mountain so the drive is very steep . great owner and very respectful staff. the sir managing the food was very sweet and helpful, even walked us to the nearby waterfall. will visit again. everything!

Stayed on 26th and 27th May 2017. I expected some rain showers during these days but it only showered on Saturday early morning. Temperature at the resort was soothing not warm nor cold. Regarding the resort I don't have words it was a memorable experience for 3 of us, my 4 year kid, my wife and myself. I appreciate the creative design and construction on that tea slope it's fantastic one of it's kind. It's 7 acre tea plantation with 9 cottages named on different tea flavors are nicely positioned in the area to get better view and access. It has houses a canopyed ceter dining with recreation hall. I liked the mountain view deck at the back of the resort. Cottage is beautiful spanish house with well planned tv area, bolcony and attached toilet. The cottage is very well lit by the sunlight and good ventilation. We felt it's our own private home with beautiful valley view. The cottage was very convenient and very clean. Coming to hospitality it was great Mr Sanesh, Mr Ubaid too care of us all the time with pleasure. Thanks to them. They asked us every other time if we need anything also they arranged camp fire even it was light showers. They never looked tired and were always approachable. I appreciate Sanesh sent message to me asking we had lunch when we had been to sight seeing. Food was good (local style) what ever they prepared, for us it was not for our expectations as we eat spicy and I like more Continental and my wife likes more of North Indian. We don't know about non vegetarian they prepared. About the service is excellent we never were to there timings and asked out of their regular menu, they satisfied us to good extent possible. I explained how I wanted tea :) and they made it... We enjoyed hot tea in the midst of plantation and also on the deck. We got horlicks, milk for my kid whenever we asked. We spent some time at the entertainment hall playing TT and dart and other games. Overall I liked the resort location and it's serenity it's better than any of the sight seeing places in waynad, vythiri. Appreciate all the people who designed it, made it and maintaining it. I also request to visitors and the staff to maintain it the same for ever. Finally to reach the resort is bit confusing as it needs sign boards on the main road as it has two roads to reach one is from the village and one from just after vllage which is good road. You can call Sanesh or Ubaid if you feel you cannot drive on the rough road which is just 900 meters... Tarrif is just on the higher side but worth every penny. Thanks to all for making my stay wonderful, I will surely return with my friends and family just to relax in the resort. 100/10 😊

Thank you Jobin, Arun, Obaid, Ashok and Nikhil for such a great hosts of our trip to TTV. Brief: Location: 10/5!! this property is situated at a beautiful location called Vythiri, which is the best one in entire Wayanad!! and surprise! the highest peak in wayanad is clearly visible from here. You can't actually go there as it comes under deep forest!! but can enjoy the cool mist/breeze from there. we went there with our mini family (self, uncle and wify with our tiger (our son)) on our Alex (Swift), our car. since its a gravel slippery steep hill, we have handed over Alex to Arun and in turn Arun and Jobin took us to the property on their Jeep. Room - 5/5 Clean, no foul smells, good curtains. overall it was quiet neat with all basic amenities. maintained well. Service - 10/5!! they were prompt and quick, only problem could be lack of an intercom, so we basically need to use our mobiles to get any service, but that was fine to me. Food - 5/5 (tasty, becareful what you speak about your likes and dislikes w.r.t food coz these guys have ears installed everywhere and they serve them in your next meal ;). a special mention: 100/5 for a great tasty hot kerala biryani on our last day of the stay :)) Its a good VFM considering it covers all your meals (useful for simple nature lovers who may not go out of the property much). if you just want a stay for a night, then I think you better need to book directly with them and see (I haven't tried it though). note: location isn't that hard to locate, but will take sometime but that is very scenic and you can enjoy!! there are no sing boards to their property as well so you may need to get in touch with Nikhil, for that he will guide you with simple landmarks that should help you!! suggestions: a room heater and a water heater would be good for people travelling with their kids (but again it's only needed in winter since Wayanad isn't that cold as other hill stations like Ooty!!)

The approach road (last 900 meters) to Tea Terraces is a single road up the hill, which is adventurous and an exciting driving experience. A Car with good ground clearance (170 mm) and experienced driver can drive till the entrance gate. Note: Tea Terrace Vythiri staff can be contacted at 900 meters mark, if assistance is required (free jeep pickup/drop available). Location of the property is mind blowing with a great mountain view. Very well maintained with tea garden and the aroma of eucalyptus. There are around 8-9 cottages in between the tea gardens and each of the cottage is built with good interior design and well planned architecture, which can be experienced once entering the cottage. The cottages situated at the top most row have a fabulous view and farthest from dining/ reception area. Note: Kids/ aged people can prefer cottages near to the dining area, as no room service available. The property has a water stream flowing down and a view point facing the near by forest with great view. There is an entertainment room for games and many places in the property for resting and relaxing. Early morning walk with small trek towards the forest will be refreshing and is a must. All meal plan is available and the food is amazing and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed having local Kerala style and North Indian cuisine. The quantity and quality of the food was very much satisfactory. The service was exceptional and really helpful. The service provided by Jitin and Ubaid was commendable with frequent follow ups and on time for planned itinerary. Overall an amazing experience and highly recommended. A must visit for all nature lovers and travel obsessed.

I am so glad that we chose to stay at Tea Terrace, Wayanad because the resort was not heard of by us and we went ahead only by the reviews and trust me, you will love the place. Firstly, the location of the resort is perfect - staying within a tea plantation area and a forest (sans animals, dont worry :) ) is truly spectacular. The cottages were beautifully and artistically decorated, in Spanish style. Each and every detailing has been done with a lot of effort and one can see so. I really liked their idea of not having a bath tub so as to save water and also the idea of having a solar heater, very eco-friendly (cheers to that !). The service was impeccable - It is truly commendable to keep your guests happy in an area where resources are less - I mean the market area was quite far from their but we were not made to feel that a bit. Nitin and Ubaid are worth appreciating for being at our service whenever needed and doing things even out of the way for us. Thank You so much, both of you :) Food was delicious - Total Kerala style which we had opted for. We had some really nice preparations which we had never tried before - Malabar biryani was yumm.. There was a steamed coconut dish we had for breakfast, dont remember the extra long name but that was good too. We had Kerala style chicken and fish too :) The weather was slightly warm during the day but it poured really hard one evening when we were there and that was a sight to se,e, simply gorgeous :D All in all, a very rejuvenating 3D/2N stay and I would highly recommend Tea Terrace to all who look forward to serenity.

If you happen to be in Vythiri then this is one of the best options you could choose from. It was little hard to find the way to Tea Terrace Vythiri as they don’t have sign boards at present. You can’t take your car all the way to the resort as you need to enjoy and experience a 4X4 jeep drive to enter this resort. I had to leave my car in one of the neighbouring homes. And once you are in all you can do is just relax and enjoy how beautiful the place is. It is so tall that you can see the whole place around, you feel close to the skies and the ambience is hard to be expressed in words. The cottages are all built in Spanish style and are very well equipped and maintained. It was neat clean and the best available. We stayed in “puverah tea”. Food was a package along with our cottage booking and was tasty and delicious. Lunch I felt as if I had from home after my 3-4 days long trip. It was buffet all three times, dishes/options were limited though but the available ones were impressive. Staffs were very friendly, do remember their names Nithin, Arun, Josh. They helped me with my routes and plans and when requested for arranging a site seeing, Nithin was more than happy to arrange Zaheer’s Enjoy cab. He was also very helpful in taking us to various spots and explaining us more about these places. It was the place again and again you should praise, a wonderful and heavenly stay it was and will surely come back next time to tea terrace.

I have stayed in many resorts and the three things that strike you about any hotel or resort are location, ambience and attentiveness of staff. Tea terrace scores full marks in all these aspects. Right from the exhilarating jeep drive from the main road to the entrance, the beautiful Spanish themed cottages amidst sprawling tea gardens, to the breathtaking views of the valleys below, Tea Terrace is a unique experience. If you are looking for a resort with regular amenities like swimming pool, evening entertainment, dj playing loud music you should'nt be there. But if you would like to spend some time alone amidst nature, sleep to the sound of crickets, wake up to chirping of birds, and spend your day sipping tea, watching clouds drift in valley below, you should definitely visit this place once. All meals are included in the rent, and my family loved the simple home cooked food served. Though it all adds to the USP of the place, I wished the entrance to the cottages were more well laid, and better lit at night esp for senior citizens and little children. They have a great collection of books for kids, please add more books for grown ups as well. They have couple of rabbits and kids love watching them, but they looked over stuffed in a small cage and we wished they could keep them in a bigger enclosure. Never the less it was a great trip and my family wanted to come back again soon.

I expected very less from the resort as it's a rather low profile property. My wife recommended this from Goibibo after reading very good reviews so we booked it for 2 nights and had a back up of Silverwoods Resort for 1 night (by the way they have worst service and no value for 11k I paid) Well getting back to Tea Terrace, it was a adventurous ride to the top (recommend high skills of driving or hire a cab from the resort) We were awestruck by the villa which had very aesthetic Spanish style design and rugged wooden finish to add to it Mr.Nitin Tea Terrace Vythiri manager gave us a very good view (all rooms have great views to mention) as I booked early and requested as it's our anniversary. We had few issues with hot water, however that was fixed by the owners themselves (3 IT professionals from Bangalore) who made a visit during our stay and were very courteous :) The views are extra ordinary you can check out my clicks. The food was good as well, home style buffet. They even had snacks and delicacies in the evening. Cab was arranged. 4k for pick up and drop from Vythiri bus stop and 1 day sightseeing. Big thanks to Goibibo for a great deal (INR 2500 for a 7k villa with all meals). Suggest they add some more games/activities to do inside resort. Totally recommend this rather than other properties who would burn a hole in your pocket and offer a fruit basket when you leave!

I recently visited Tea Terrace and would highly recommend the resort to somebody who is looking to spend quality time with their family members. Its a beautiful resort built in a tea garden, located almost at the peak of a mountain. You get to enjoy the nearby greenery while at the same time you get to see the beautiful mountains in the distance. The rooms are of very high quality, almost par to the ones which you see at five stars, only much bigger than them. They have individual cottages in the property, a total of ~10, which are well spaced out throughout the property. You need to see to believe the beauty. They have a recreation room in which you can indulge in a few games. The cafeteria or the dining place again offers a very pleasant view, bordered on one end with trees with mountains in the distance and on the other with tea plants. The furniture is also of very high quality. In all you feel very good being in dining place. The quality of the food along with the very high service orientation of the staff was just the right icing on the whole package. One of the most courteous and helpful staff I have ever seen anywhere. Highly recommend the place and the folks not just for couples but also for family, friends get together. Even businesses can consider for corporate programs.

What you see is what you get! Absolutely fantastic resort. Views from the room are breathtaking to say the least. The room itself is nicely decorated and furnished. Design of the house is reminiscent of wooden houses in European countries with sun windows and balcony doors. Absolutely loved it. Food, though minimalistic, was tasty and fulfilling. They charge you 630 for dinner. Breakfast as tasty. Sanesh the manager was courteous and helpful. The only thing that needs mentioning is finding the resort. Google maps won't work. There is more than one way to reach the resort and maps will show you the shortest way and you'll end it up on a steep narrow road that leads to nowhere. Best to reach Vythiri and pin on the resort in maps, go along the direction and look for signs and ignore maps completely from then on. One more than, terrace is perched atop. Only 4x4 accessible. So you have to let them park your car at a nearby properly. The parking at that property is not confidence inspiring from the space point of view. My car had a new scratch inhe door by the the time we left the report. Thanks to the mud and slush we didn't notice it. But that's fine. It's a small scratch, needs a good buffing. That's the only negative I'd say. Five stars eyes closed.

Tea Terrace just blew my mind. We stayed at this property for the weekend 2 weeks ago. The approach road was slightly tricky, however it was an adventure in its own. Once there, you will not want to go out of the property. Right in the middle of a well maintained tea estate, you'll have 7-8 spacious cottages to yourself. Every aspect of the cottages has been very thoughtfully designed. No cheapness in the provision of any utilities. The aroma of fresh lemon eucalyptus everywhere (unlike the regular eucalyptus, this has a lemony fragrance) was very refreshing. The resorts serves all meals with your stay. For a veggie, food in Wayanad can be tough, however I can assure you the food served here is very homely & delectable. The staff, Ubaid, Nithin & rest (I am sorry I don't recall the name of the other gentleman), were very courteous & tried to do their very best. I feel room service is something that could be added in the future. We even met the owners of the property, who were very welcoming & took feedback from us. All in all, this was a very refreshing experience, away from our busy city life. Great stay for families, lots for kids too. Good views from the cottages on top, but if you have young kids, cottages closer to the diner would be better.

After lots of research we chose Wayanad as our Honeymoon destination. It was the best ever choice we could have ever made all because of the resort we decided to stay in i.e. Tea Terrace Vythiri. We are grateful to the staff of Tea Terrace Vythiri - Nitin, Jobin, Haroon, Ubaith, Ashokan, Beshir for their awesome hospitality. @ Tea Terrace Vythiri - there are totally 9 cottages each one has unique names and are placed at different levels, amidst the beautiful tea estate. We could see the beautiful mountains from one side of the balcony and breath taking valley from the entrance of the room. We also thank Mr. Ashokan for the delicious food that he prepared for breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. Each and every dish prepared by him was a hit and there was not even a single dish which was a flop. Special thanks to Jobi for engaging us by showing the unbeatable beautiful nature, water streams in and around the resort. We also thank Nitin and Haroon for picking and dropping us so carefully driving through the dangerous curves in the mountains. Overall we had a wonderful, memorable experience during the stay and would surely want to visit the resort soooooooooon.

If you want to wake up adjacent to the tea plantations this is the place !!! Two words "pleasant" and "serene". The last 900 meters as mentioned by others is tough (but safe, loved it). 1st gear + hand brake and you shouldn't face any problems. You can always call the guys for help. They have parking-slots downhill. Network is there but 3G/4G/JIO-4G will work intermittently. Do's: 1. Bring trekking shoes/ DSLR / Umberellas /Guitar for campfire 2. Books - would wonder how fast you can actually read :P 3. Rent a scooter(for convenience) Don't: 1. Don't bring your laptop Ask if they have a full-board deal. Lunch and dinner is 300 per head, Tea is 100 per head (you can get some snacks with it) Food is good. Non-veg you get there is eggs and chicken. I would recommend them to include fish in their menu. Kerela trip without fish might not seem right to non-veg lovers. One can always make a short trip downhill but ... hey some people are lazy like me ;). I clubbed my trip with Silver Green Enclaves near Banasura Dam (Food was awesome there) so no complaints. Ample privacy and at the same time ample facilities for parents and kids to enjoy at Tea Terrace.

We stayed at Tea Terrace for the New Year's in 2016. We had zero expectations when we arrived at the property and the tough ride up in the jeep did little to allay our fears. However, once we stepped into the property we were instantly put at ease with the amazing location of the property, the friendly staff and the beautiful surroundings. We were given one of the cottages that lined the tea gardens and we instantly fell in love with our cottage as soon as we stepped in. Lovely high ceilings, well designed room layout and a well appointed bathroom all made for a great stay here over two nights. The food is probably their weak spot but it was more than edible. They just need a better variety of items made available to their guests, that's all. Also, our all meals inclusive package was a treat and one could ask for something to be made on request if the chef could make it for you, which was nice. We used to play carroms and table tennis every day in their game room and saw some of the kids feeding some of the in-house rabbits they have at the resort. We loved the place and would go back here any day.

Tea Terrace is truly paradise.Nestled high up in the misty mountains and surrounded by green tea bushes all around, the spanish style cottages are big and very comfortable, clean and modern room and bathroom just as they advertise. We were really touched by the affectionate hospitality shown by Mr. Arun, Mr. Umaid, Mr. Nitin and Mr. Jobin. I had viral fever when I reached there with my parents. They were so concerned and got the cook to make me a glass of hot herbal Kashaya which helped me feel better. Ummm, the food is divine, manna from heaven, thanks to Mr. Ashokan, the wonderful Chef. He fed us four times a day with so many delicious varieties and not at all spicy. Our heartfelt gratitude to all the staff who embody the old world hospitality--Athithi Devo Bhava. We would definitely like to come back again to this paradise. They have table tennis, carrom and a piano for your enjoyment and also take you on a tour around the tea estate. Thanks again to Mr. Nitin and Mr. Arun for taking us in their jeep to the resort after we parked our car safely 900 metres below.

This resort it closest you can get to nature. We stayed during monsoon season, weather is quite unpredictable you can enjoy sunshine, light rain, heavy downpour. along with beautiful huts you have some fun stuff do to campfire, table tennis , trampoline, small treks in tea state. Staff is very nice and cooperative, they will give there best to make you feel like home, Food is great. even though resort is in remote location Arun and and Nitin tried to any last minute and or special request . Our 2 night stay was most pleasant stay in any resort. i would like to thanks Nitin and Arun specially. During return journey our car brokedown. as it was remote location , finding mechanic is tough job . Arun and Nitin helped us in finding the mechanic and make sure that we are on our way back safely. Guys Keep up the good work. will Sure visit this resort again with family. You might feel this resort is bit off the Map but trust me once you stay in resort u will have the you will want to go back there again.

We had booked Tea Terrace Vythri for a day in Wayanad. Though it was a little difficult to ;ocate Tea Terrace Vythiri amidst the never ending greenary, Tea Terrace Vythiri manager Nitin, was very helpful in helping us at every stage. True to its name, the resort is located amidst lush green tea plantations. The cottages are truly different, and the french windows on either side, ensure u end up waking up to the lush green plantation view. Mr.Ubendhu, along with Mr. Nithin, ensured that the hospitality extended was beyond comparison. Delicious customised food, snacks, and complimentary trekking to nearby view points and surrounding plantation, enhanced our experience. All in all , a 5 star treatment meeted out at an equally 5 star resort. We would recommend staying here for the sheer experience of staying at a beautiful plantation resort. Our package included all meals along with accomodation, and the booking proved to be worth every penny spent. Would like to visit again! :)

Place was mesmerizing and service exceptional. Cottages Very Well Maintained and Scientifically Designed for once comfort. Properly LIt pathways for the night walk. They have a small waterfall also part of the Property and huge beautiful tea garden, within which this property is built. The only issue was reaching there, do not just rely on the google maps and call them before you start. There is 800 mtr of last stretch to reach to the place, which should not be driven by you in your car. They provide car parking to you down and then take you up with their own Jeep. Once you travel that 800-900 mtr to reach to the place, you would be wondering how much hard work would have gone behind bring the stuff up there and build such kind of place. I asked the management, they said it took 2 years to build the resort. Really commendable. Fully enjoyed my stay. Regretting that i only booked for just one day.

Best place to stay for.. very peaceful and great quality of rooms and location, even the property is located in the middle of tea valley still there is no insects of mosquitoes in night time... there is a soft trekking where you can enjoy a small natural falls... The booking at Tea Terrace was only based on reviews which I had read. Though I had been to Wayanad multiple time I had not heard of this place. This is a relatively new resort. Pros : - It is a hidden gem in Wayanad - Well maintained property - All the staff there were very hospitable and courteous - Very scenic place - Since the tariff included all meals, food was simple and great. - In Summary we had a very pleasant and memorable stay. - Will strongly refer this place - The book reading place is a great place to unwind and is a hidden treasure there Improvements - Have directions to the resort. Reaching is a bit tedious - Have more facilities especially for kids like swing, slides etc - Make the pathway to book reading place more walkable, put stoned pathways so that reaching to this place is easier.
