1) Location: Resort is located at one of the highest peak/point of Lonavla. Offers amazing view of the scenic mountains, tungali lake and rajmachi, all amidst green landscape and mountains with passing clouds seen as per weather conditions. However the approach road to this location is very narrow and in bad condition. However resort management has provided the last stretch of road near to its entrance with paver blocks. This can be compromised considering the remoteness of the location. 2) Property: Resort ( structure, internal roads, garden, landscape, kids area, swimming pool, rooms, etc) is well maintained. However gym and spa can be more welcoming if the interiors and aesthetics are improved. Also the activity/recreation centre should have pool table and the table tennis rackets need to be replaced. Most rooms offers good view and the cottage room is spacious. 3) Food & Beverage: Resort has only one restaurant (but with good view and decent food) and also has a conference room. The restaurant offers only buffet food for all meal sessions and does not have a-la-carte option. Also the buffet rates are high (even after discount) and a person with average appetite might not get value for money. However the buffet spread and personalised service at restaurant is commendable. Room service and minibar facility is not there which is a turn off. However few complimentary munches and soft beverages are offered in the room. 4) Entertainment: Karaoke is there during dinner time but few more activities need to be added for adults. 5) Value for money: Room tariffs are on higher side due to the location advantage and also due to well kept property. Room rates during weekdays too are high. Thus the management should give a serious thought to revise the rates. 6) Summary: Well maintained resort at an amazing location, offering the best view but with high room tariffs.
A very nice location. Far from the town but very scenic. The best resort i stayed in lonavala with regards to the location and view.. Located on top of the hill and well maitained premises.. Loved it. I stayed in a cottage.. There are only 2 category of rooms.. Cottages and normal one.. I paid almost 3000 extra to upgrade to a cottage.. Only difference is cottage have an open balcony and chairs. U need to be really lucky to get a cottage having the vally and mountain view. I got a cottage at a corner which is just having a peeping view of The swimming pool.. I requested them to change the room but they did not provide and they told me that all are occupped. But when i checked i found most of such cottages were empty and occuppied afterwards. I checked in at 1200 hrs itself.. I dont know why they didnt provide me that cottages even though it was empty at that time. If there is an option for choosing the rooms, then i would suggest everybody to select the rooms at the ends which is having a great view of the mountains. If u get cottages at the corner then its your bad luck. The cottages doesn't Mean that u will have a sepearate villa.. It is just a room with a balcony. And there is no privacy for the balcony for some cottages as all the balconyies are in single row without any partition.
Resort having the best location in lonavala, I hear monsoons are best here having the mountain become a waterfall and the mist is right through the resort. The location is so that you would feel you are between clouds and mountain. Even though it would not look like a five star property, the resort is decently maintained. There is no room service for food at all. Its only 3.5 km from city centre and food seems to be pricey. However, your bookings are generally bfast inclusive if you book online and direct hotel booking has entire day food inclusive. Also, they have buffet as well as Ala carte menu for all meals. The bfast buffet spread is decent enough and good to try with the restaurant giving view of the mountains while you are having your breakfast. There are other facilities like gym, health spa, etc. Above all it has the purest air to spend a day or two. The swimming pool though not big when clicked looks as if the water falls directly in the valley. It may be pricey but still a place to stay once.
I had a wonderful time at the resort, the location is excellent, view is great, the staff is extremely polite. I went with a 1 year old, the resort is kid friendly, there is play zone, the property is huge and well maintained. The chef in morning was extremely helpful and the staff made sure that my stay with a child is comfortable. The chef helped me with my kids food and proactively asked and helped me with my child's food, milk and anything that was required.only drawback is that the food is expensive and hotel is located a bit far from main market, so going out every time to eat becomes tiring. I had a pleasant stay. Thank you to the staff which made it possible. As a family the resort is kid friendly with regards to all aspects such as room space, food, helpful staff. The rooms are huge with wonderful mountain view. I was staying in the cottage. I stayed for 3 days, and didn't feel the need to go out. the property is very well maintained and beautiful to roam about.
As the name suggests its on upper deck of Lonavala.Road approaching to hotel is narrow and bad conditions but don't worry its just last 2 k.m .Resort is away from crowd, in middle of mountain range.Breath taking view. You can watch Sunrise from Upper deckIts a great experience with Goibibo.Good value for money.Upper Deck Resort a bit isolated so vehicle is must and carry some snaks if you are with small children. In breakfast buffet variety of food is limited. Only one type of fruit, no sweet dish and no cheese. Situated in Maharashtra you expect some yummy maharashtrian breakfast.Only choice is Poha and its very hard. Difficult for disabled people and no room service. The swimming pool is in a exotic place and well maintained. Upper Deck Resort staff is super polite and friendly. I simply love their smiling faces and super friendly mannerisms. I am eager to visit this place again in Monsoon. 4/5
Perfect destination in rainy season. Since last 20 years I am going to Rajmachi Trek every year and every time I saw this Upperdeck Resort route just after Tungarli Dam, When I visited this resort with my wife and daughter in the month of July 2016 rain was in full swing, 1. Location of this resort is absolutely marvelous 2. Food is just amazing ( this was one the main reason I visited here apart from Location :) Around 15 + items for breakfast and 20 + items for lunch and dinner. Taste is just mouth watering specially starters... 3. Service of staff is very very good and supportive. 4. They are providing pick up and drop facility through their Scorpio so take advantage of this facility. 5. Those who love rain, This resort is Must vIsit for you....Life time experience for sure...
Review 1) Location & View: Awesome 2) Food Taste & Quality: Nice 3) Food Options: Good but limited options available outside the allotted hours 8 to 10 Breakfast 1 to 3 Lunch 8 to 10 Dinner Make sure you carry snacks as well 4) Room: Most of the rooms are with valley facing view but not all. Try to negotiate for the same during check-in 5) Staff: Helpful & polite Things to keep in mind if staying during monsoons 1) Cottage may not be a good idea due the moths around. You may not get a chance to sit out 2) They dont provide room service for food only during rains. Try to get a room closer to the restuarant if you dont like walking Overall had a great time & a peaceful stay. Would recommend this resort.
The place is a little off the route with steep and narrow roads leading to the cliff. But it is all worth it once you get there. Beautiful place and weather in rainy season is almost like heaven. The amenities are well maintained. We stayed in the cottage and were lucky to have the centre most cottage from where the view was amazing. The resort has only buffet menu and no Ala carte option. But the buffet is worth it. We got discounted price for the menu. Overall it was pleasant stay and the clouds used to just pass through giving us altogether awesome feeling.
The service promptness was pretty good. Amenities are good for the location at which it is. The food was really good with lots of option in Buffet. No A-la-carte option though. Only problem we faced was with intermittent hot water, which was partly due to the gloomy weather. They even had a magic show and DJ. So you wouldn't even feel the need to go out. All in all it was a fun experience for my family. They had magic show for kids and a DJ. Also, we could just relax without the need to go out for any other entertainment or food.
superb stay......NYC food... there was variety for breakfast...but the buffet was costly...familiar staff ,good stay to live with nature, service was NYC but in night they dun provide room service ,would definelty love to go again....its a huge property u vl not feel to go out...... the cottage room was very big......hotel is situated at the peak of lonavala....the road was not goood.....it is 4-5 km away from lonavala market.... Upper Deck Resort itself having a small waterfall....it's just a very beautiful place to stay......
Pros!! Amazing location!! Its located approx 15 minutes from Lonavala centre.. Resort is very well maintained.. Dinner and breakfas was yummy with lot of options!! Rooms have a very nice view of valley.. in night with cool breeze it feels awesome !! Cons Considering price paid( almost of five star resort we paid about 8000/- for one night on weekend ), rooms are pretty average!! Washroom was smelly( no ventilation whatsoever). They must improve room quality.. Overall a good experience
we travelled in last week of May 19 and it was awesome experience at resort. kids enjoyed pool and play garden. Food was very nice at reasonable price, dinner and lunch buffet it was with decent spread of veg food though non veg was limited. Only costly item was high tea which was 425 per pax. Best part of property is awesome view of valley in day and evening time. during night we enjoyed the open space as well at lobby and deck side. No other property on lonavala offer such experience.
It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. It's a pic perfect scenic beauty.Located at a very beautiful location . But the major issue with the resort is it is located in the middle of no where and you can not order any food from the resort. They have only prepaid buffet only!!at certain set time. So if u are travelling with kids or d ppl pls carry some food along ...reception staff are not very friendly and not helpful. Pool and kitchen staff are very helpful.
Simply Wow place... It feels like heaven on ground. I visited at the beginning of November 2019. View was really awesome. Food was mouthwatering and lots of options available in buffet... Staff very courteous especially restaurant staff... Room was very clean and specious... My daughter also enjoyed a lot + Karaoke night... Overall a experience to live along... only one suggestion, it will be great if they also allow ala card system...
The location is really awesome. Also the premise is maintained very well considering the size of resort. They also provided us with upgradation to suite room considering as newly married couple. Rooms are spacious except the bathrooms which needs little upgradation. Also the breakfast provided needs fresh fruits and hot dishes. Location which is away from crowded Lonavala market and between the Sahyadris to have loved and peaceful trip
Approaching the resort was a bit problem as it was jungle location and it would have not been possible to reach without the the GPS. But once you reached over there you will find everything up to the mark. Its really a wonderful property to stay. But they really need to put some sign board to guide the customers. Very nice and suitable hotel for the relaxation stay. We enjoyed our stay a lot in this hotel.
Every thing is excellent. One request could be to make changes in evening menu by including chats, chinese, italian and other exotic stuff in the menu. Both the times having the same punjabi food becomes boring. Also, please improve the roads leading to the resort. It is too pathetic and can be injurious to the vehicle. Else everything is excellent. Staff are courteous, smiling, helping.
The location of the property is amazing. The property is well maintained and managed. I gave it 4 stars because of two things. Food is very expensive, even more than a five star. Two, they were playing Bollywood music from 7 pm to 10 pm. When complained, they said nothing can be done about it. The gym was in bad shape. All machines are broken. Breakfast was good. Loved the variety..
Everything is amazing, the location, the plantation, staff, cleanliness, only thing that it requires the attention is the taste of food. I wont say the food was bad but it wasn't that good the way it should be. Quality and quantity of food was good but the taste and aroma was lacking! You guys can do much better in Food also. anyways thanks for the stay and amazing services.
Hotel was a beautifully located haven with great buffet options . The pool was great with scenic view . Small hike option was available which was also nice to see sunrise and sunsets . Overall fantastic place. My only negative is that there was no alacarte which is bad because one cannot eat lunch and dinner at same place and there are no other options in close vicinity
