This was being my second Trip to Wayanad I wanted to spend time more time inside resort than roaming around, after going through reviews I finally settled with Vythri Village. I must say that after reaching I was hugely disappointed. Yes you read it right. I found that Some Festival was happening, lot of people, Loud music, the entire environment is messed up. And top of that our room (we book suit room) is in the main building which is very close to entrance and far from the stream or plantation so no view at all. Room was very nice and well maintained but still we were disappointed. Loud music as very disturbing. But things got changed, after bad afternoon once we step outside our room, Vythiri Village staff came to me if I had faced any problem (I was asked multiple times during our stay), we told him the prob and even though film festival were continuing next 2 days I didn't have to complain. That is the start, then we start walking inside the resort, and found ourselves amongst green surrounding. When we are back again reception person came to me and tell about the cultural program they had arranged. While having Dinner weenjoyed the Theyattam Dance. And I should mention more about the food. There are absolutely awesome, lot of varieties and all are very good. Next day we spend more in resort, Water fall was real fun. We missed the stream walk, due to dry season the stream is almost dry. But rest of the things are awesome. But the best part was the service we had, awesome people. I want to mention few things, like the surrounding around the hanging bridge, like the pathway and stairs towards the stream looked little shabby and not maintained properly, The stream is dry but still people can go towards the dry stream. And 2nd part is using the cars in the pathway, That is lil dangerous for the pedestrians , instead of car they could have opted for golf cart sort of things, and also more bicycles, there were no bicycles for the kids, it would have been better if you could have kept few for kids too. Thanks anyway for the beautiful vacation. Its really great and we were feeling sad when checking out. Oh forgot to mention one more thing, the Ayurveda. This was my Best Ayurveda massage I had . Thanks to make me ready for another long drive back home.
Excellent hotel with great location and access. You have well paved roads till their door step. Very friendly and courteous staff. We booked a Suite room but were offered an upgrade to the Jacuzzi Villa but we choose the suite room itself because for 4 people we have two king size beds and ambience was better in the Suite room. The insect noise at the night was also lesser in the Suite room as less trees were surrounding that building. Excellent ambience and well lit in the interiors but exterior illumination needs to be improved. Walking in the night to the car parking is like walking in a black hole. Breakfast was excellent with a very wide spread though would've liked to see more of the traditional Kerala dishes which I was expecting. Vythiri Village also arranged for a complimentary birthday cake for my sister at Night 12 AM. Vythiri Village provides you a ***and a *** for having a look around the property and well you need an entire day spend time in their property. In the evening small cultural program and music program will be held and its nice. There are various activities like Zipline and Cycling available but unfortunately due to heavy rain couldn't go. The Spa is also spot on with excellent service. Overall my stay at Vythiri Village was worth the money and would recommend all of you to stay there. Few tips for improvements : 1) Exterior Illumination needs to be better with more lights. 2 ) Swimming Pool needs to be better maintained as I cut my hand in a sharp edge and could be heated as well 3 ) We booked a Suite room but got an offer to upgrade to Jacuzzi Villa, but again a small disappointment was the staff dint know how to switch it off as that bubble noise was keeping on coming and the staff says that again water is room temperature and not heated.
Resort has late check-in of around 2 pm. we checked in around 2.30 pm. once you reach the reception, they provide welcome drink/butter milk in our case and explain details regarding property and the facilities available. resort has a private man-made waterfall with timing from 5 to 6 pm. we took a dip in swimming pool which had salty water and very less depth. feeling at waterfall was amazing. we were given deluxe rooms which are good 200 mtrs away from reception. they provide small vehicles for commutation. on the way, there were rooms under construction which created some noice. they provide complimentary snacks from 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm besides pool. snacks included awesome bread cakes. views from room were serene and had lot of greenery around. in evening cultural programme was organized at open air hall near reception. after cultural programme, a family was there to celebrate marriage anniversary and were allowed to play DJ. dinner at spice bowl restaurant at rs 750 plus tax for buffet had more non veg options. ala carte order took some time to come. they also have indoor games activities, archery in morning which was complimentary. but DJ was so loud that we had to rush our dinner and go back to our room to stay away from noice. morning breakfast was good with sufficient variety and they also have zipline activity chargeable at rs 400 per person. we left early since we had to do some activities with muddy boots. they called up a rickshaw for us on request which is cheaper as compared to cab. hospitality overall was good. staff was very helpful.
I have booked standard room for 2 days. I am of the opinion that it is NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Just a room with attached bathroom however the room is neat and new with modern features. I am not that happy with the lighting inside the room, it could be little more brighter. one side of room has big transparent window with curtains, but the view outside is just ok(we can see only grown bamboo trees from 3rd floor, no natural view is there),also it cant be opened as monkeys may enter in and take away our goods. A hotel in Kozhikode city worth 1600/day has got refrigrator but here there is no such facility with more than 3 times its price. The FOOD, room service, house upkeep etc are big positives however food is very COSTLY(150/tea, 150/chappathi etc). There will be music is open space from 7:30pm by some troops which is something we could enjoy while taking food in restaurants in a chill climate. The resort is very EASILY ACCESSIBLE by road and provide adequate open parking space. There is a public swimming pool and lot of places to roam inside the resort, they also provide cab services within the resort. I personally felt that this resort is for very elite class with a stay at Tree house or celebrity pool ville or may be cottages. A standard AC room stay is not worth and not fully enjoyable. Its like staying in a AC hotel room only.
I had been planning to visit the place for a long time. Finally got my chance in the first week of June. This place is ranked no 1 in places to visit in Vythiri and it deserves to be so. The property is very well managed and the staff and management strive to maintain the standards. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. They are actually bigger than they appear in pics on hotel's website :-). We took the suite room and it was quite spacious. They arranged cultural programs in the evening and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had quite a wide variety of entertainment programs from singing and dancing to jugglers and magicians. This made the evening very enjoyable for us. The staff was courteous and eager to please. For people from North food can be sometimes a challenge in Kerala especially if you are veg. In Vythiri village however they had ample varieties of all kinds of food and it was quite tasty as well. Evening snacks, I felt could have been better. Our aim was to relax so we did not venture to other tourist spots. They do arrange quite some activities like nature walk and zip lining which are done in the morning. Overall we enjoyed our stay there :-)
I stayed in cottage room with a upgrade from suite room .The resort was under renovation as they gave a upgrade from suite to cottage.they have multiple options of rooms .Base room, suite, cottages ,pool villa .Even though the interiors doesn't match with the 5 star amenities in a cottage room ,it is still a good pick in wayanad ,having 2 pools .one is normal and the other one is infinity pool with great view and a artificial waterfall above the pool .hanging bridge was under renovation .i wanted it so badly but unluckily I couldn't use it .This resort takes you away from your busy life .The place is calm ,with lot of greenery They have archery, cycling and paint ball ,fish spa .make sure you go for this before evening 6 .its a bit expensive comparitively but I guess it's good option for couples and family to have a good time .i guess the Pool villa and other jacuzzi rooms will have luxurious interiors to try for .Go for the location and the best in wayanad .front office and all staffs are really helpful .will go back for sure !must try in wayanad for explorers and regular travellers like me .Go for some good time away from busy life as they can promise you that.
Stayed in the resort for 2-days. We had Cottage, which is really good, spacious and with decent view of the property. 5/5 on cottage on every front. Best part is the quality of Bed/Sleep the cottage offered, very rarely I would like the Bed and the comfort offered outside my own home, here was an exception, worth mentioning the high quality beds and sleep quality it offered. The service and the attention from the front end staff was excellent, even the staff in dinning hall was highly service oriented and I would rate 5/5. Thanks to the staff, which made us to feel at home. Location is good nothing to complain about. Evening cultural program was good. The food was just average, with very minimal choice for Vegetarians at 5-star price. The lunch with limited veg choice was @ Rs.1000/- per head was too high, so we went for al-carte. Next day we decide to visit Bungalow Restaurant in Kelpetta for lunch and dinner, run by Best Western group, which was a good and wise decision. At the time of visit, construction work in going on in the property, so there was some disturbance, which took away the Value for Money rating.
Overall it was a pleasant stay at Vythiri village. Preferred for family definitely. My likes - In-house facilities/amneties are good comparatively. Shuttle, Archery, zip line riding, early morning short trek etc. Cycling is there but within a short distance so kind of okay. Party - Due to festival season (Christmas and new year eve, light music was arranged along with dinner) Cleanliness - Rooms are very clean and spacious. I booked a cottage room and there are other type of rooms as well. Food - Satisfied. Breakfast has a wide spread so suggest not to miss out. Dinner has some spl counters for roti, dosa, noodles, etc. Cabs are arranged for pick up and drop facilities from restaurant to rooms which is useful. Check in and check out was very smooth and staffs were curtious. Dislikes - swimming pool should have been better. It was slippery. Hanging bridge should be bit sturdy enough as there were patches on the way.. High tea was offered in the evening. However it was only tea along with one variety of biscuit. Snacks could have been more along with tea to term it as a proper "hightea"
Resort is bigger and we can spend whole day inside the resort. Enjoyed the Day starting with Morning Walk at 7:30, Break fast, Zip line will pass you 11 AM. Visited near by place in Wayanad and taken lunch outside. Evening Complementary Tea/snacks, Artificial water Falls, Fish SPA will keep you engaged and relax from daily works. Archery and play room , Swimming pool will help you to spend time inside Resort itself. Overall stay is very pleasant. All sight seeing place in Wayanad will make you to walk. We enjoyed the speed boat in banaasura dam. Please go early as the counter will closed once they got enough bookings. We were waited 3 hours to enjoy the speed boat thrill. We not opt other places as it need to travel and walk. Please note, There is no decent hotels available outside in Vythiri. Traditional Kerala food was served in those available small hotels. Food inside Vythir Village resort is good and its costlier.
Visited 2 days trip with family. Around 10:30am we reached vythri, official check in time was 2pm, on request they have allowed us to check in early. Resort is spread across 35 acres of forest, it was so beautiful and mesmerized scenic place. Cottages are scattered across the forest. During our stay they provided a vehicle to go around the resort. Afternoon we have luch at resort and food was not that great, would say ok kind. Next day early morning we went walk for 4km, it was so nice for walking in drizzle rain. After nice walk we got freshen up and and add a nice breakfast, this time it was little better than lunch we had. There are many in door games like carom, chess, foge ball etc. except Snooker everything was free. I felt Spa and Ayurvedic massages were little costlier than the service they provided. Indoor games, morning walk around resort. Good hospitality. nice weather and resort maintained clean.
This Is my third time at Vythiri Village, it definitely is getting better each time. Something which is difficult considering the high standards that Vythiri Village had in 2012, the first time I came here. It has been a wholesome family vacation with awesome cottage, great food, great ambience, great view of nature, fantastic facilities for out door and indoor games, and adventure and pleasant surprises arranged by the management. It is not just the facilities, ambience and the natural beauty that makes this a wonderful place, it rather is the hospitality and their extreme care they take to ensure the comfort and happiness of each guest. The pool, the artificial water fall, the draw bridge, the zipline, fish spa, the kids play areas, archery were very enjoyable. Heard great comments on ayurvedic massage from two guests who had it as part of the package. Just see it and feel it to believe it.
I stayed here for a day, i could not explore Vythiri Village much as i spent only a day here but the day i spent was good in experience. The staff at Vythiri Village is sweet and courteous. They staff do every bit in making your experience wonderful. They are a smiling group of people. The room i booked was not so big but enough for a couple. Yes Vythiri Village is a little dimly lit, but i suppose that must be their theme or their way of doing for the environment, but even though Vythiri Village must light itself up much more. the location of Vythiri Village is accurate on the gps and also nearby to the highway. Vythiri Village has great set of activities to do. The swimming pool of Vythiri Village was also great. the food of Vythiri Village was also good where the chef actually caters to your requirement. A slightly expensive but the quality of stay impressive. Overall experience was good
We as a family had a great time staying in vythiri village - Cottage. cottage has adequate space for a family with a dedicated living and pantry area. climate supported as it rained 2 days before. though the climate was little humid outside(with 28 degree). it will be plesant inside the cottagewithout a/c) you wont feel it that due to the great trees surrounded by the cottage. they have two pools(one is infinity pool, one is a big 3-4.5 ft), artificial waterfalls(but looks like real) open for 1 hr and medium range zipline as well. kerala food in the restaurant is good, cant depend on continental food(atleast the dish we tried). They have a shuttle car to drop/pick you to/from ur cottage. but the walk inside the resort is very good along with the hanging bridge. quality of service provided by each of the staff also was great.
Everything perfect about this resort..our first 2days in deluxe block adjacent to hanging bridge..it was continuous drizzle n super weather..last day moved to pool villa..okeyish type..not great as in few youtube vlogs..older room, medium size jacuzzi type n cannot be called as full fledged pool like I'm pepper trails..rest room is smaller than deluxe n flooring etc looks older..nevertheless though was not cozy as deluxe our expectations for the pool room for the price is far below..breakfast restaurant huge size n sculptures around the walls are good..food is above average though usual south Indian..guys Raymen,Max n live dosa cointer guy all north east boys doing good job n attend every group perfectly. Oveall a good, vast property in the middle of nature n enjoyable.
Booked Vythiri Village based upon the user ratings and reviews. Stayed there for 2N/3D. It was a pleasant stay at Vythiri Village. Marvelous location with nice scenic and right in the midst of lush greenery which really makes you feel good. The approach to the resort was really outstanding, very close by to the main road. The property features a hanging bridge across a natural stream and an artificial waterfall which was simply awesome. Wonderful people and excellent hospitality. The rooms were state of the art and spacious and have done an excellent interior work. House keeping was also great. The only drawback is the size of the television it was too small. Over all we had a very nice stay at Vythiri Village.
In the midst of greenery, Vythiri Village is a perfect destination to spend time and relax. Resort checks all boxes with regards to amenities and additionally an artificial water fall, a beautiful hanging bridge, bird sanctuary and even a Zipline for adventure lovers. We were also surprised with a magic dance show during our stay and they organize fun activities for families. The only negative we felt was that the Ala Carte order for dinner took ages to come and food was not up to the expectations.. The reason we felt so should be the otherwise pampering, extremely prompt service and sumptuous buffet which they provide.. Overall a great relaxing experience and definitely a place which I would recommend :)
Was a splendid experience.. Very good 5* property! We had stayed for a period of 2 nights, 3 days accommodation between 25th-27th March and booked a suite room. My 3 year old enjoyed your shows organized during the dinner, he enjoyed having shower in the bathtub, food etc... It was a great choice that we booked your hotel. No regrets...!! And best was your services, be it room service, help-desk. Everyone had a gr8 smile :). Liked the ambience, swimming pool, falls, indoor games and the bridge! Dint spend outside the resort this time.. Enjoyed staying within the property!! Will definitely come back of course with a bigger group next time...
Resort is very Green and Staff is Very Cooperative with smiling faces. Mr.Brijesh Asst F& B Manager over there & Mr Ashwin were very helpful and takes care personally. They arrange Music Every night near Dinner Area. We have enjoyed Music for Three nights. Last day Mr. Prabal from Calicut thrilled us with very good International hits. The main Attraction was Fresh Garden Tea which they serve from 4.30pm to 5.30pm in their Tea Garden restaurant. Resort has many Activities like Cycling, Archery, Paint ball, Hanging bridge, Zip line, Two swimming pools, Artificial water fall. Go for it and Enjoy perfect Family Vacation over there.
Best thing about Vythiri Village is the friendly staff. They treat us really good. We stayed in wayanad for 1 day. We stayed in Vythiri Village only. We had enough enjoyment inside and never felt like going out and see other places. They have a zipline which is a great adventurous activity to try. The pool is really need. The food quality is exceptional. The scenery and the fresh air inside Vythiri Village would makes a tranquil and serene ambience away from all stress. At night they organise some live performances like theyyam ... It also gives a variety experience. Overall it is the best resort I visited ever in Kerala.
For people planning a trip to Wayanad vythiri village should one of the best options for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Location of the resort is ideal almost equidistant from all the major tourist attractions. Staff is friendly and competent and service and amenities good. The general upkeep of the resort may have been better one feels as the general surroundings , the pool, furniture and some of the bath fittings testifies to age and mild neglect which are not things you expect in a 5 star joint. Barring this rather minor quibble our stay at this resort was memorable and gratifying. Thumbs up to staff and management!
