Go to the My Trips section* on Gobibo and file a claim using the policy number. Attach the required proofs

  • ICICI
    • Trip Delay

    • Get a fixed cash payout if your flight is delayed more than 90 minutes due to unexpected weather, employee strikes or machinery malfunctions.

    • How to claim
    • Receive SMS from ICICI Lombard regarding flight delay.
    • Expand the SMS to click the link in the message and provide the necessaryinformation.
    • Get intimated by SMS regarding your claim and receive the claim amount in your bank account if approved.
    • What's covered
    • Delay due to sudden employees strike of the airline company
    • Delay caused by machine failure of the airlines
    • Delay caused by operational problems at the airline company like crew/staff scheduling issues
    • Cancellation or rescheduling of flights done by the airline company that caused the delay
    • To be considered only for domestic flights
    • What’s not covered
    • Any delay, which was made public or known to customer at least 6 hours prior to the scheduled departure of the Common Carrier
    • Any delay caused due to change in laws, regulations or orders issued by the respective Government or the regulating authority which was publicly announced
    • Any delay caused due to cancellation of the flight by customers
    • Any delay due to permanent withdrawal of services of Common Carrier/ Public Carrier which was publicly announced beforehand
    • Any delay caused by any change in laws, regulations etc. which was publically announced.
    • Trip Cancellation

    • If your flight gets cancelled by the airlines' company, you can claim a cash payout of a set amount assessed based on your ticket size.

    • How to claim
    • Airline sends cancellation related communication to your registered email id/contact number.
    • Go to ICICI Lombard website and upload the relevant documents using your mobile number.
    • ICICI Lombard will verify the claim documents and claim amount will be transferred to your bank account.
    • What's covered
    • To be considered only for domestic flights
    • What’s not covered
    • Any cancellation done by the customer is not covered.
    • Situations including but not limited to runway closure, shutdown/in the process of shutdown of airlines, advisory of Government to ban a certain airline/aircraft etc. that may lead to recurring or bulk cancellations will not be covered
    • Any cancellations due to advisory of Government due to Covid 19 will not be covered
    • Any cancellations due to natural catastrophic events is not covered
    • Missed Flight

    • In case you miss your flight journey due to a delay of arrival of previous public carrier, you can claim a cash settlement upto pre-determined amount based on your ticket and route plan.

    • How to claim
    • Go to ICICI Lombard website and upload the following documents using your mobile number - Confirmed ticket of missed flight and No show certificate or confirmation from the airlines.
    • ICICI Lombard will verify the claim documents and claim amount will be transferred to your bank.
    • What's covered
    • Delay of public carrier due to rough weather
    • Delay due to sudden employees strike of the public carrier company
    • Delay caused by machine failure of the public carrier
    • Delay caused due civil unrest, riots or commotion on the way to airport

    • For Acko policies please login to the Acko website for filing claims.
    • Flight Delay

    • Benefit is payable for flight delay beyond 60 mins.

    • Considered when
    • Delay of a Scheduled Common Carrier caused by Inclement Weather.
    • Delay due to a sudden Strike or any other action by employees of the Common Carrier.
    • Delay caused by equipment failure of the Common Carrier.
    • Delay caused by operational problem at the Common Carrier end like crew/staff scheduling issues.
    • Cancellation or rescheduling of flights done at the instance of the Common carrier that causes delay.
    • Not considered when
    • Any delay caused due to change in laws, regulations or orders issued by the respective
    • Government or the regulating authority which was publicly announced.
    • Strikes or labour disputes which existed, or of which advance warning had been given in Public prior to the date on which the insured trip was scheduled.
    • Delay due to the permanent withdrawal of services of any Common Carrier by its management or shareholders due to any reason whatsoever which was publicly announced.
    • Flight Cancellation

    • Operational issues, cancellation by the career, employee strike is covered. Government lockdowns, cancellation by the insured person etc. is not covered.

    • Considered when
    • Flight carriers include Air India/ Go-Air/ Air Asia/ Indigo/ Vistara/ Spice-jet Airlines.
    • Delay due to a sudden Strike or any other action by employees of the Common Carrier.
    • Delay caused by equipment failure of the Common Carrier.
    • Delay caused by operational problem at the Common Carrier end like crew/staff scheduling issues.
    • Cancellation or rescheduling of flights done at the instance of the Common carrier that causes delay.
    • Not considered when
    • Any cancellation done by the insured person is not covered.
    • Cancellation owing to reasons of Flight Operator declaring Bankruptcy will not be covered.
    • Cancellation of flight by owing to Government action will not be covered. E.g. flights cancelled as Government declared nationwide lockdown due to Covid-19.
    • Cancellation of flight owing to any catastrophic reasons will not be covered. E.g. floods, earthquake
    • Missed Flights

    • Insured Person needs to book a new flight within 24 hours from the scheduled departure time to be able to claim insurance.

    • How to claim
    • Insured Person needs to book a new flight within 24 hours from scheduled departure time of the original flight from the same origin to the same destination.
    • Customer need to provide a proof that he/she has missed the flight along with the new flight ticket or booking invoice.
    • Not considered when
    • Claim will not be payable if insured person purchases the new flight ticket prior to the scheduled departure time of the original flight.
