just mesmerised with its location , private beach, swim up bar, friendly staffs, huge manicured garden, great architecture, sumptuous breakfast buffet ,nice rooms with all modern amenities. pros are many but some serious problems were 1 washroom fitting doesn't include a Indian style hand sprayer for washing your butt(only toilet paper ....its OK to keep foreigners prerequisite in mind but Caravela Beach Resort must consider us indians who might sometime turn up to this nice property situated in India for ur own vacation) 2 quality of toiletries are better even in many three star hotel(no dental and shaving kit) 3 buffet lunch and dinner are pathetic in both taste and spread for the money they charge ...but a la carta menu was awesome in taste especially the continental cuisine(my humble suggestion to all of my fellow travellers is not to go for buffet if you are not in a package ) 4 being a isolated place cabs and their monopoly are there to exploit you to the max as you will have no other option(rs 2500 for 30 kms) 5 no free WiFi except for the lobby which is actually unprecedented as nowadays almost all star hotel will provide u free WiFi 6 mobile network in the room is non functioning (u have to go outside to make a call ....I think they have put a jammer in the room to prevent u to use your own network and to pay for their WiFi network ...though i can understand their predicament to compel you to use their exorbitantly charged wifi but they must understand that one can have to make and receive important call apart from using the internet...I am a doctor and I actually faced a real problem with these...I actually detested when I missed a number of important calls from my patients who were in dire need to talk to me in their suffering Overall a awesome serene resort to enjoy your vacation in tranquil and bliss if you can ignore those fine yet important points that I have mentioned. hope Ramada will do justice to their brand name and will rectify those issues so that I can return back to this beautiful and all engrossing property
It was my first visit to Goa. I have been told by many to visit south Goa which is where this property is located and it was nice and peaceful location away from busy north goa and other major attractions in Goa. pro's: calm and peaceful location has private beach great for families and get-togethers. checkin and checkout process was fast unlike what I read before choosing this property. food is nice but a bit costly has a well stuffed mini bar in all rooms good parking space (if you own a vehicle there). most of the staff (95% from security, bell boys, room service, waiters, receptionists) were courteous and helpful. cons: its one of the costliest for the facilities and service that one gets (I have been to other major tourist locations where the price is half of what I paid to get all such amenities or may be more). carpets, sofa, pillows on sofa in the room were dusty and huge dump of dust underneath the laptop table. though we didn't complain (since we were mostly out of our room) for a suite of hotels like this should have proper maintenance. beach shacks were not good (neither food or drinks), service was pathetic. Bar guys were treating Indians or brown people as if they were illiterates (kind of behaviour). this isn't the case with other bars or restaurants offered by Caravela Beach Resort, so something horribly wrong with this Sunset bar guys. their behaviour and service is different to other foreigners/white people (which was expected but not that much). an example where we ordered few drinks to enjoy the sunset and we received them after its completely dark (more than an hour even when there was no rush at it) and when I escalated the matter to someone over there. I have seen huge difference with the service from different bars inside the resort. breakfast area is overcrowded when you plan to have yours a bit late or BTW 8.30 - 10.00 so plan early (even they also agree with this and included this as a note as well). you have an option to have yours in room itself when there are no tables. thanks
Excellent resort powered with courteous and hospitable staff. This resort has got a good private beach which is the main reason why i went for this resort in the first place. Check-in process is very easy and simple. That feeling when me & my wife entered the room and opened the balcony is priceless. We can clearly hear the sweet sound of ocean waves. Room is very neat apart from the visible small traces of sand on the corners of the room which is very much understandable, provided it has a private beach and we can't expect all the guests to be neat and tidy. Pros: 1. Great value for money. I got an awesome deal. 2. Breakfast buffet will definitely tease your taste buds carving for more and more. I have not seen such a long menu list before. 3. Great ambiance with good swimming pool and greenery all around. 4. Nice private beach. 5. Bikes for hire available at a distance of 100-300 meters from the resort's entrance gate. 6. Resort management will arrange for an airport transfer (1300 INR). 7. Affordable restaurants (Tangys & United 21 Emerald) near the resort. Taste is really good. Improvements needed: 1. Street lights are not available after the resorts exit gate. It would be really nice if the management can arrange for some lighting near the proximity of the resort, considering the fact that resort is situated in a bit of secluded area. 2. Don't be too strict and harsh regarding the swimwear for women. I saw a lady who was arguing (right) with the pool staff who did not let her into the pool. They were not ok with the dress she was wearing. To me, it looked like a Nylon top and bottom which should be alright. That lady was very disappointed.
Excellent property. Very friendly staff . I booked my hotel through Ibibo and the overall experience was excellent. Let me give a detailed insight. Location - Property is located in South Goa around 40 Km from Airport.Take prepaid taxi from Airport they will charge Rs 1100 for Ac cab.The resort is located on beach.Full marks for location Property - Caravela Beach Resort gives Portuguese feel.Very nicely maintained. Front desk- A bit slow by standard but very helpful. Room- Well maintained and spacious. No issues with the room. Swimming pool - Very good but very noisy due to small childrens playing with voleyball as football. The floor of swimming pool was not cleaned thoroughly. One negative is that they dont have indoor shower and changing room Spa - One of the finest spa experience and that too very economical. I.must complement Mr Arun from their spa centre for his excellent service. Food- Breakfast was very good and had a good spread. But I will suggest Caravela Beach Resort to make some variations .Cakes were all the same during my stay .South Indian food was also repeated. Dinner was not upto the mark whereas lunch had far more varities.Overall it was good. Beach - Beach is beautiful and maintained. The beach is so clean and beautiful that you will not like to go anywhere else. Nearby activities - Sadly no there is nothing within a range of 4 km. Anniversary cake was very nice gesture by Hotel to make us feel special. Overall I must say that it was one of the best resort in Goa for a comfortable stay and I will surely come to Ramada Goa. Thanks to team Ramada for making our trip so memorable.
Caravela Beach Resort in Varca was a perfect weekend getaway and an idea luxury resort to spend lovely and full of memories vacation. We structured our trip to stay in hustle and bustle and high octane north Goa in the start and the serene and calmness of South Goa to finish our journey. The property is ultra luxe and a true style Hawaiian architecture designed by global renowned WATG which have designed landmarks like The Venetian, Atlantis and Sun City. This property; all of 22 acres and boasting of 9 hole golf course may not look modern(it has been there for more than 30 years as Ramada Renaissance) is five star luxe property. The rooms are huge with very high ceilings and view of the majestic Arabian see from almost all the rooms. The centralised pool is beautiful designed with a swim up bar and jacuzzi near by. The facility is top notch and the buffet at the Carnival is amazing and huge place. There is never a dull moment at Caravela Beach Resort. The view of waves hitting the shore and receding form the sunset bar is just amazing. If you are looking for a safe and tranquil luxury stay, this should be on the top of the list amongst other beach resorts. Highly recommended. Ultra luxe property and access to beautiful and serene varca beach
We stayed at Ramada for Three Nights and just enjoyed our stay their . This was our second visit at Ramada and we enjoyed the first one also two years back . This time we just planned to stay at resort and enjoy beach and Pool at resort apart from the delicious food they offer . Breakfast was superb and they offer very lavish buffet breakfast . For Lunch and dinner they have option of buffet as well as ala Carte , but I think they should have more options in ala carte menu as in veg we found limited options on the menu card although later on they told us that they make even Chinese etc if a guest demands . I advise them to increase the options and reflect on the menu card so that on first glance people should know . They don't play Indian film music generally which is a bit surprising but may be since so many guests are from foreign countries that's why they play English music , but they should also keep in mind about Indian guests and their music preferences. Staff was really courteous especially the Incharge of catering and their catering staff are so nice and attentive to the needs of guests . Pool staff was also very courteous . Overall it was a pleasant stay at Ramada and we enjoyed a lot during our stay with them .
Never been to a larger resort in Goa. this is a huge property with lots of amenities. LOCATION: 20 mins from madgaon station and around 1 hr from Dabolim airport. Situated in south goa, this resort is away from the bussle of city life. Infact, the only problem with the resort is that there is nothing outside this resort for a few kms. HOPITALITY: hospitality and service is upto the mark. Premises are clean and neat. Staff are cordial and pleasant. ROOMS: We stayed in the garden room. It was really value for money. Great view too. AMENITIES: Pool is big enough with a bar in the centre. its well maintained. Tennis court is good too. However batminton, tt and pool table facilities are namesake. Highlight is the golf course... its really well maintained. They have a private beach which is really good. FOOD: Food is decent... breakfast spread is quite good. Buffet dinner is also good... however its very expensive even by 5 star standards. However, guests have no other choice as there are no other options nearby. Overall, a very nice place to chill out and relax. A perfect getaway from busy city life. However if you plan to travel and explore goa, location will disappoint you.
A very beautiful hotel. Huge property with a private beach (which is very very clean and beautiful).Recently visited it and it was very nice to see that there are lots of employees of hotel who are putting in so much of hard work everyday to maintain the huge area hotel is occupying. Pool is just amazing and so is the food. Hotel Taxis are on very expensive side. We had to give*** bucks just to go from hotel to Palolem beach and Cabo De Ram fort. Also the food is a bit expensive. You might end up giving *** bucks for 2 scoops of ice cream if you want to order in room. But still I wont complain as Caravela Beach Resort staff went to great lengths to make my stay wonderful and my birthday which I celebrated there. Food was amazing. Their buffets have a lot of variety and there is something for almost everyone no matter how choosy a person is. They really had one of the best Naan breads i ever tasted. Sea food is nice as well specially the prawns. There is live music performance every night at the time of dinner buffet. It was like a full fledged party going on. Very nice ambiance. Thanks to hotel staff for very nice hospitality.
I was with my wife and had a blasting time out there. The staff was very helpful and as I requested for a room to be peaceful and shouldn't have the neighbors as kids to avoid any disturbance on our honeymoon and we got the same room with garden view and tennis court. This resort has their own private beach which, just walk down the golf course and here it is. Wi- fi is free only in lobby area and if you need it in your room. will have to pay ****** for 24 hrs totally unfair. Room was clean & spacious with a huge balcony facing the garden to have memorable sip of coffee. Breakfast was delicious with multiple options. It's more of a family kind of hotel as we didn't see a single couple. Crowd was full of family and bachelors/ working profs. But who cares. It has a discotheque, but its too small and doesn't look like a 5 star disc. Disappointing though. Taxi fare is a bit on higher side. As we checked the fare to Panjim and was quoted*******. Anyways apart from these few things...this Ramada is a perfect place to stay with your loved ones or with your family...loved it so far...
Hi All It is Indeed a best resort to visit in GOA. I was on my honey moon and I booked the stay with Go IBIBO, Caravela Beach Resort price was almost around 9K, but we got Caravela Beach Resort at 5500 only(45% Discount).. for 2 days.. I have been to Taj Aquada and Taj Holiday also so I can say it was far more great experience in Ramada. The Food, Magician, Beach (Private), Cycling, Golf, Discotheque, Swimming Pool,Tam bola, Water sports on beach, Live Music, Near by Bike on Hire, Not to forget the sunset on the beach, My Room 301(Best room),(Talk to Vinita over there she is the duty manager over there), Very Helpful Lady. She upgraded my room in Caravela Beach Resort Lobby itself with flower decorations as well with a cake & all of these were complimentary. All the things I mentioned were actually there and we really enjoyed alot, please go in a mood to stay in the resort itself. The resorts itself covers all.... Thanks to all for making my trip memorable.. .... Looking Forward for your exciting Offers. Thanks Siddarth
Resort Itself is a huge property with beautiful pool and golf course and almost private Beach feeling....beach shack were nice and beach is very clean in comparision to north goa beaches and so less crowded....overall a must go resort for pleasent and relaxing stay.... Also garden view rooms are little away from pool and breakfast area and kind of looked isolated....we got a pool facing room and it was nice.. Now coming to cons... room size is little small and one will expect to get a big fancy room for a five star property but it was just ok and the bathroom kit was also just average quality...Complimentary Buffet was good and had lot of variety for all types of people...otherwise Food was very pricey here....serious suggestion please Ramada reduce your food price...its too high and this property is like 3 km atleast inside from main road and not at all any good food joints nearby except for beach shacks...so you feel little stucked... otherwise beach and resort property itself is very good.....
The good: The Caravella Resort is an awesome property to stay!! Its a huge place with ample walk track, golf area, private beach, nice rooms and staff too!! Old era architecture with modern rooms was so pleasant. The beauty of resort is its architecture, huge open space for walk and play, and a very neat and clean private beach. The Bad: Food is nightmare here!! We stayed here for 2 days and all our good stay experience went for a toss because of food. There are just no options for food - basic stuff like tandoori etc were not available. Starters were only 2 in chicken , 1 in fish and none in mutton. We had to buy chips from locality to enjoy our drinks and order the one chicken starter they had. Biryani - worst ever. Buffet breakfast was ugly with no spread - just one non veg item that was chicken sausage. dosa idli and sambhar was only served or rather i should say something which could have gone down my neck. Food experience made things worst else could have been a 5/5 star.
The resort is spread in huge space. lush green gardens with small golf course for fun. the best part is the private beach. watching sunset at the beach was priceless moment. the staff is very friendly and helping. i fell ill on my trip and one of the intern Suvroto went to get me medicine at late night. found some very cute cats at the resort. the rooms are very clean abd all necessary things are there. breakfast was complementary and has good variety. i wanted to have some fish in lunch or dinner buffet but was disappointed as they had only chicken, mutton and lamb but no fish or prawns in their lunch or dinner buffet. if you want to go out of the resort for sight seeing, you can get the two wheelers on rent very near to the resort but car on rent is only available in Varca which is around 3 km away. sight seeing packages provided by Ramada are very expensive. overall had an awesome 3 nights stay at the resort. excellent location if you just want to relax.
We had a wonderful stay at Caravela. We took a garden room which was quite spacious, clean and had the required amenities. Also it had a partial sea view from the balcony. The resort is very neat and you can see the cleaning staff working all day to make sure there is no mess around even during the monsoon. The housekeeping is very efficient and provides prompt service. There are multiple grocery and **** shops within 200 meter distance and several bike rentals available outside the peoperty. Caravela Beach Resort does not allow outside cabs inside the premises but i guess thats a norm in goa and nothing can be done. Food inside is average but satisfactory. The one complaint i had is with respect to the front desk. The lady at front desk lacks training, speaks in a discomfirting and rude tone for no particular reason that i failed to understand. Caravela Beach Resort authorities need to look into that and correct it so that guest leave with a smile.
the resort is in south goa! the resort is big and very good! But there is a very big problem which nobody reveals! TAXI! there is no services for transportation! the resort is approx 10kms inside from main road! you cannot walk down to the town market! taxi prices are extremely high! from resort to panjim is Rs. 2500/- one way (small car).. where as if you return from panjim to resort by taking taxi from panjim.. its just Rs 1400/-.. the difference in rates are way too much! there is issues between taxi drivers of south goa and north goa! No north goa taxi wants to come to south goa! if you are going to casino and planning to come late, please pre book taxi from M.G. ROAD market!!!! they take additional charges post 7pm to 7am!! You will be attracted to north goa, you will want to go there everyday, so its better to book hotel in north goa! if you are travelling with family, and planning to stay in resort only and rest, then you can opt for this!!
Caravela Beach Resort is a very good option among the large resorts in south Goa. Though not very new, it has been fairly well maintained. It has expansive spaces both indoor and outdoor. The lawns leading to the beach are beautiful and lush. The beach is spotlessly clean and one can enjoy hours of bliss on the beach beds provided. In general the staff was very welcoming and helpful. We experienced smooth handling right through. The best part was the policy they seem to have about the food served to you. The waiter comes up to ask if you like everything, and if you haven't, he immediately takes it back and offers to bring something else in its place - no questions asked. This happened both during our lunch and dinner time, so it must be their established policy. It made us very happy to see that they care about customer satisfaction. All in all, it was a luxury experience at a sensible price. We would definitely like to come back.
Few pros: 1) Private beach: A luxury to have in crowded Goa. very clean and calm beach all by yourself 2) Great swimming pool you can spend hours in it 3) Awesome property, well maintained, lot of things to spend time Cons 1) Travel to and from hotel: Hotel don't allow taxi operators from outside to pick you up. Hotels own taxi service is very expensive and they are very poor at customizing according to your itinerary. At times they I found they were charging double of market rate for a trip. So if you are planning to visit North Goa I would advice to stay at North Goa and come here later. 2) Staff behaves like sales person: they push you to buy food or drinks by calling you at your room. 3) there are few discounts which you could get on only if you enquire about them. 4) Food is not great and there are no good restaurants nearby and to travel to good ones in South Goa travel by hotel cab might be more than food bill.
Hotel rooms - Aged, Food - A Roti cost 150+ tax, a lacarte is expensive and less in quantity. No other restaurant in the walking range. Resort charges 3500 for one time buffet meal for 2 adults+1Kid. Car rental- no one is near by. People charges 300 rs to deliver car at a distance of 1 km away from resort. If you are planning for this resort. Make sure you have rented a car before arriving at this resort. Taxi - provided by hotel is very expensive. Airport transfer 1300, every sight seeing are charged ~2000-3000 Mobile network - poor/no network of airtel WiFi - provided by hotel is slow Overall good property to spend 2-3 nights , provided you have a car with you. This resort is an abstract of entire Goa. One can do water sport at the private beach of Caravela Beach Resort. Enjoy evening in sack, pool bar, and dinner with lovely live vocal music, or with the melodious sound of live saxophone . Staffs are courteous.
Excellent location with even better beach, we loved every bit of our stay at Caravela. Rooms are nice and decent in size, pool is clean. Good food and most importantly it was cooked in less oil and still tasted good. Their staff goes out of their way to ensure the guests are comfortable and happy! I can't thank enough of Ms Mable, Chef Saurabh and Ms Jhungham who helped us all throughout when our son had to be admitted all of a sudden for a surgery and on our return to Caravela Beach Resort, they made us feel like we were with our family! Hotel has lush green and well kept lawns which makes your walk to the beach even more interesting. The private beach of this hotel is one of the best I have seen in Goa with soft golden sand and moat importantly the beach is very clean! We would surely come back to Caravela in our next trip to Goa. Once again many thanks to Carevela staff for making our stay very comfortable!
Caravela Beach Resort is a great resort which is very well maintained and spread out over a beautifully designed surrounding expanse of lawns and trees with a golf course, baseball and tennis courts, lots of space to walk and benches and deck chairs to lounge on. They also have a very nice shack and bar on the beach side. Their staff are very courteous and co-operative. Their breakfast is one great multi-cuisine spread which is a gastronomic delight. The topping is the live musician at dinnertime - he is simply out of the world, singing the best nostalgic songs with a very rich voice. My special thanks to him (sorry, I couldn't get your name right) and also to Monica and especially Prateek at the restaurant who is the best ! If you want to have a wonderful, relaxing time and simply chill out, this resort is just the place to be in. All the best to Caravela Beach Resort and their staff !
