Hotel Leo Castle

Reading the two previous negative reviews, I was really worried before booking Hotel Leo Castle through goibibo.com. I found their contact number and called them. I had a talk with manager and convinced by his words. Location: This hotel is located just on the side of beach near the CT road and is quite far from Swargadwar (around 3.5 km). One can book an auto rickshaw (takes ~Rs70) to go swargadwar. Hotel Leo Castle is about 1.5 km Away from Puri Railway Station. If somebody likes to avoid the congested area (e.g. Swargadwar), may opt for this hotel. This hotel is cheap and great. Rooms: Most of the rooms are sea facing. You can have a clear view of the sea from your room. Views will be better if the floor of the rooms increases. In the ground floor there is a neat and clean, well-maintained garden, children can play there. Our rooms were in the 1st floor. The rooms are well furnished. I am really impressed to see the interior decorations. It has TV, phone (intercom), Good quality sofa, 4 plug points. The bed is quite large. Though these are double bedded room, however 3 person can easily be accommodate in a bed. There are different layers of curtains. 24hrs water. Bathrooms are good but not excellent. I saw renovation is going on. Hope they will take care of that. Services: The manager of Hotel Leo Castle is very helpful. We booked two rooms on ground fl. As two available rooms were away from each other, they provided us the rooms at 1st floor without extra charge. All the staffs are fine. Whenever we ask for room cleaning (even in odd time) they did it. Yes this is true that the staffs have some deficiency in manner. The free drinking water they provide in every rooms are not filtered. They have a RO system, however that was not working during our visit. Water is available outside for purchase. Foods: Their restaurant is under construction. You may have foods from nearby places. You can buy fish on the beach (very cheap) and ask the "jhupri" shop on the beach to prepare.

This hotel located just beside sea beach and construction still going on as Hotel Leo Castle is extending and under renovation. When we reached Hotel Leo Castle with family as per my booking (2rooms) one sea facing double bed room room no 205 at 1st floor given which is quite good airy. When it comes to standard room I bound to stay in a room which is below standard room no 213 very small room not at all airy and very dirty . ..Two room service person and one from reception are very good always ready to help. Rooms get cleaned everyday but bed linen not changed from 18th morning to 21st evening neither toilets get cleaned everyday. Another bad thing is that they keep your id proof from check in to check out although never ever such rules are written anywhere that they will keep it with them. Hotel is always ready to earn extra % from you by means of auto booking , station drop , railway reservation since they have all these facilities. Hotel restora is on groung floor with so so type food quality although if you move nearer to hotel food auto everything are available in cheaper price . I strongly recomend those travelers to stay in this hotel only who like to enjoy sea for this purpose LEO CASTLE IS BEST. Two person in red dress are always happy to help you. I would also like to mention that yesterday I checked out at 6.45 pm but for this one day I had seperate booking for two standard room but as I had to face inconvenience hotel management allowed me to stay in a sea facing double bed room along with that standard room where I am staying from 18th ....

Our check in time was 8.30 but our train reached Puri by 6.30, we asked Hotel Leo Castle, they informed that if the rooms are free you can check in. I had booked 2 rooms with Sea facing room with attached garden, non AC. When we reached, a family has checked out, so they were cleaning the room and handed over key of one room. The second room was vacated by 8 and they cleaned and gave the room by 8:30. The room was on ground floor, it was clean, the toilet was also clean but not as sparkling. There was a veranda with 2 plastic chairs (the condition of chair was old) and attached garden which has a stone round table. There is a big lawn with a single swing ( We enjoyed the swing from 11-12 in the night). This is the last hotel near the sea in that particular street. There was a good view of sea and its beach. Hotel Leo Castle manager seems to be a good caretaker as we found him drying the chairs in the sun in the morning and when we came from breach, he politely reminded that we are wet and asked us to come after fresh up. The food was also delicious. They are also giving tickets for the city tour in their hotel which is payable extra.The autowala they have at their hotel is also a nice guy, polite, friendly.

Hotel cleanliness is ok.but location is very bad..everytime you have to spend rs200 (up &down) if you want to go jagannath temple.if you are in a group of 3-5 then its good but if you are couple or solo traveller be ready to spend more on auto.i booked Hotel Leo Castle in rs841 but i spend rs500(2time temple 1time busstand) on auto.beach sand touches hotel boundary.but beach is very dirty....I recommend you search a hotel near to jagnnath temple beacause its cheaper but travelling cost is almost 0.beacause u stay near the temple so no need of auto and golden beach is rs20/person. CONCLUSION- Location-3/10 Cleanliness-7/10 Safty-10/10 They have their own resturant on ground floor.(leo dine) and they charge 12%extra on room service so better go to resturant by your own.Bt delivery to room takes 1hour. I REPEAT DONT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL IF YOU ARE COUPLE OR SOLO TRAVELLER IF YOU DO SO BE READY TO TOLLERATE TORTURE YOUR WALLET. But place is romantic and safe.hotel stff are extreemly good.........

Just awesome hotel, Distance from see just 50 metre ,We book 3 standard type room but hotel management give us 1 see sight awesome room ...Hotel stuff behavior is too good they every day give us fresh Aqua water , every day wash room clearly .But special thanks to hotel management to give us see sight room no 306.but never bool 313 room its unhealthy room and suffocation problem in 313 room ,211 room also awesome.we book each room just 422 rs per night ,simply best in comfort and price ...Dear traveller if u want to book any hotel in puri just go hetel leo castle & book 313 type see sight hotel... Special attention never go Leo Castle's resturent its too much costly 85rs per veg meal, food also not good ,,, My advice book hotel leo castle and take fooding in the resturent 100 far from hotel near Sonar Gouranga Temple named SUBHAMSEBA RESTURENT veg meal rs50 .. pic given above. Always book OTDC BUS (AC) for sight viewing.Thanks

Hotel Leo Castle is by far the best hotel I have ever visited in Puri. Starting from its Value for Money. Considering its Vibrant location just on the beach sand, it's a magnificent room with a front sea view, the room service facilities, administration behaviors, and all. Secondly, the service quality is up to the mark. Good behavior of hotel staffs But few improvements to be made are like the WiFi Connection, and the Leo's Diner (Restaurant/Foods). The WiFi signal is not accessible from our rooms on Ground Floor. All the restaurant staffs (except one) need significant training about their way of serving the guests. Especially the manager who tried to trick us with some other stupid food item, instead of the actual ordered one. The manager was rude and was repeatedly arguing with us about the item being wrongly served. He even claimed "PLAIN DAL" as "MASALA TADKA" But the quality of food was good and hygiene.

Nice room. From the room itself, you can enjoy the sea view. Restaurant food was also delicious and price is not so high. It was affordable. Staffs are friendly. But need to improve their services. Need to arrange quick room service. They are taking around 1 hr for delivering food. The Bathroom and Toilet need to be more clean. Need to provide bed sheets and thin blanket in summer/rainy instead of the blanket provided. There is not any vehicle parking place. In the day time, bike will be park outside of Hotel Leo Castle and in night it will be park inside of Hotel Leo Castle. But for both the places, there is no roof. But that is not the actually parking place.Overall, it was price worthy hotel.Thank you 😊

I was a bit hesitant while booking this hotel as it was far from swargadwar which everyone selects for their choice of hotel... But my stay here changed my views and I was glad that I booked my stays in this hotel. It has a wonderful lawn in the front overlooking the fantastic sea just in front . actually Hotel Leo Castle is just on the beach and our morning and evening cuppa was a memorable one with the view of the waves from our window. The rooms are big enough with a balcony and a grand sea view. The crowd of swargadwar is not here so you can just relax and unwind in the peace of the ocean view. Food was good if not excellent... The bathroom needs more improvement rest all is fine....

I had stayed for 1 night in Hotel Leo Castle Hotel Leo Castle was very good Beach is seen from balcony of hotel All time sea breeze was blowing It is about 20 minutes walk from railway station Hotel Leo Castle has their own restaurant Hotel Leo Castle had high speed wifi connection Hotel Leo Castle has power supply system on power cut The behavior of Caretaker was nice Rooms and bathroom was clean Rooms had tv with set top box having almost all channels Hotel Leo Castle supplied a toilet soap,towel,drinking water The view from balcony was awesome For going to Jagannath temple go near intersection point of rail station road and chakra tirtha rd and take a bus.bus are at 15-20 mins frequency

Hotel Leo Castle is situated right next to the beach on CT road although it's far away from Swargadwar. Pros : Sea facing rooms that are large and spacious. Looks exactly like the pictures provided by Hotel Leo Castle. Very close to the sea. The behaviour of the staff are good and they are cooperative and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily . Cons: the only one problem with Hotel Leo Castle is the food they serve from their restaurant. They should seriously think about changing the cook. Their restaurant service is below average and late. Conclusion: I would love to visit their hotel when I go to Puri again. I will stay there for sure but eat at some other restaurant.

We were there for 4 days (08/07/16 - 11/07/16) during Rath **** this year. To reach there the only means is to avail an auto rickshaw or sometimes cycle rickshaw as the city bus service does not cover this area. For peace lovers and new place explores like us it's the right place to enjoy the weekend. Moreover the location of Hotel Leo Castle right on the beach is really a bonus! We stayed there in a sea facing room from where all the colours of the roaring sea waves throughout the day was clearly visible. Service is very good and food is so so, can be managed keeping in mind all other attractive features of Hotel Leo Castle and the location as well.

Hotel Leo Castle atmosphere including the room was just awesome. All the staffs are also having co-operative and always ready to offer service. I took the 3rd floor room for two days, as the weather was sunny it was some what hot inside the room. Else the room condition and service is superbly satisfactory. I faced just one problem ie. the land line phone was not working in my room #408. The technicians tried a lot to make it working but no luck. Also the restaurant food is some what low quality as compared to price. But restaurant service is too good. Thanks all Hotel Leo Castle staff for make this for me. See you again.

Comfortable stay. Room was clean and also enjoyed the attached garden. In the pics toilet floor seems yellowish due the water quality but it was clean. It is located nearest to the beach. Easily accessible from railway station or bus stand. Hotel staff are good and helpfull. They arranged autorickshaw for local places, bus/cab booking for chilka lake or konark (golden triangle tour). They are extending Hotel Leo Castle towards beach side and renovating the existing one. good for family and couple. Safe. true and satisfying information. Staying here with family is comfortable.

Hotel Leo Castle is good, the rooms are good with direct sea view. Nice interiors. It has a private garden. The location is on the city road beach which is 2.5km away from swargadar or golden beach, so every time you want to go for marketing/temple/swargadar beach, etc. you need to take an auto up and down. It's 1.5km from station. Hotel Leo Castle has its own restaurant and room delivery service. It also has a private terrace with sea view on 3rd floor. For city tour they arranged bus tour which was also not bad. Overall good experience. It does not have a lobby..

Its a pleasant stay at Leo Castle, Puri.. Hotel location is superb.. See is also view able from balcony.. I stayed at 1st floor, so its good for us.. Hotel staff are also helpful and always taking care of us... As per me 1st or 2nd floor is preferable for batter enjoyment.. Not ground floor.. But food cost of Leo Dine is on higher side... So if you looking for cheap food.. You have to search another restaurant.. But over all i will very happy to spend a memorable time on Leo Castle.. Its a great place to spend your valuable time with your soulmate.. Thanks

Hotel is too good. Location is wonderful. There's a nice garden attached with hotel. And sea beach is just next to the garden gate. Can see the wide range of Sea even sleeping in bed. Food quality of hotel restaurant LEO'S DINE is remarkable and up to the mark. Cooperation of restaurant staffs are really very good. Only draw back is the distance of Swagodwar. Have to pay to auto or rickshaw every time to go there. But for Honeymoon or staying some days with your loved one is just AWESOME. I wish to stay here once again in my next visit at Puri.

Room ,staff and view everything is superb.The only thing is that due to dampness in all the washrooms there is a kind of stinky feeling inside Hotel Leo Castle. Moreover last night by chance I woke up and saw smoke coming out of the switchboard which was to scary.The mcb had to be switched otherwise the fire could have broken anytime. Then we requested the receptionist to shift us in another room and he cooperated. These lil things should be worked upon by Hotel Leo Castle and it will be excellent. Otherwise full marks ...Thanks goibibo team.

A good hotel in budget. Service provided by Mr. Bhaskar is great. Near by beach. Good location. Peaceful place. Cleanliness is just Ok. Rooms and batrooms are good but some taps are damage. Need to repair it. Hotel staff nature is good. Mainly a good peaceful hotel just 2 min walking diatance from clean beach. At this beach no more populatin so that you can enjoy the sea peacefully. Hardly 10 min by auto from station and also from sri jagannath temple and also minimum 15 to 20 mint from golden beach. Great hotel in budget.

I stayed here in February 2016, with my family. I stayed in sea facing family room which was quite big with queen size beds which is enough for a couple and 2 kids. Room was very clean. toilets were also well kept so no issues with that. Service was quick and staff was very polite and helpful. Rates in general are very cheap and food is very tasty. Sea beach is at just front of hotel and you can go there directly from hotel, a 1 min walk. Whenever I will visit Puri again I will definitely stay here...Balcony is so nice.
