We want thirty rooms for SPIRITUAL RETREAT on7th June to 10th June ...May I know if there's any best offer?
What is cost for day outing including room?
Before starting, let me warn you that this will be a longish review. \ Summary - This place is for people who want to be out of rush of city and modern resorts, so if you are looking for luxury resort after paying around 9K, then this is wrong place. If you are looking for a unique village experience, where the majority of the staff are from surrounding village, then this is the place to be. Location (4/5) - Located in a remote place near Hesarghatta surrounded by greenry. I was surprised to get a SMS from hotel management with directions to the place. It was much needed though I had Google maps, found it difficult to navigate to the place. There are sign boards put up, but still was difficult. There is a gate that leads to property via govt. lands that has been closed for public due to some dispute. So now, have to pass Taj Kuteeram (Closed for renovation) and Nrithyagramam and travel in mud roads for around 4 kms. I got lost and called hotel and was promptly guided by them and finally managed to reach the place. They are trying to put new sign boards in this road too and might be easy to reach after that. Rooms (3/5) - Rooms are big and clean with a big bed and a nice wall painting in each room. There are no TV or phone to disturb you, but has been provided with a set of books for adults and kids. There are earthen pots and cups for water. Each room has 'Astra' water heater and bathroom is big and has basic shower and WC, the toiletries are organic soap and shampoo which are quite ordinary. The linen and towels are clean but stained with reddish soil of the property and one of the bed sheet had some holes. I would have definitely rated higher, but at the price charged, I feel the rooms can be a bit better. Food (2/5) - The in house restaurant uses organic vegetables and milk from the Garden and stable of the resort. The restaurant tries to serve restaurant style buffet menu, but in my honest opinion fails to do it. I am sure the quality of food is good but lacks in taste as the chef are not very experienced in north Indian or continental cuisine. The dinner was quite ordinary and breakfast was a bit better especially south Indian stuff like Idly and upma. I feel Our Native Village should try to offer local food cooked in village style that would compliment Our Native Village's genre. Activity (5/5) - Starting from Bullock cart ride with friendly Luv and Kush (Bulls) with their master Ramanna or trying your hand at pottery or milking the cows, then gilli danda or other village games. All these with very friendly staff made our day. We truely enjoyed it. There is a small eco pool which is around 3 feet deep, It was clean but there were some dead insects floating, did try it for sometime. Staff (5/5) - All the staff were very friendly and went out of the way for our special requests, all of them served with a smile and this charmed us. We truely appreciate the owners for employing the locals and training them to behave with the guests. Overall (4/5) - Definitely a unique experience and I would like to come here again, though I felt it is definitely priced on the higher side, but then again it costs to maintain the 7 acre property with just 24 rooms and around 25 staff. I felt one can cover all the activites in a day, but if one wants to relax can extend the stay.
The way to resort is sort of the most memorable experience. You get to the resort through farms and dusty roads. The rooms are very nice and earthly. Very fine detailing on presenting things. The view of surrounding is picturesque. A lot of good activities including liye flying, pottery, Bullock carting etc. I'm short, the resort provides a refreshing atmosphere to city dwellers where they can enjoy, connect and burn a little bit of calories. Last but not the least, the staff is amazing. The only improvement area is around food served which could be better in terms of quality and the variety.
Great place for a day stay. The discounted price made the value. Few points to be aware of : 1. Take your shoes and some changing clothes. This place is in a red sand area. Wearing whites would mean 2 to 3 hours of usage in the open. 2. The approach to the resort is through a bumpy mud road for around 2 - 3 KMS. Be prepared for this.
It is located in the outside area, and if you have your own vehicle then you can easily visit this place or else not possible to reach here.Staffs & services were pleasant and room was comfortable and spacious as well.Food was average and overall had a very good experience.
Buffer Dinner was expensive (Around Rs. 700 per person). Because of village area and lack of tar road, you don't have any other option also for Dinner/lunch except in resort. Quality of food is good. Overall, it is good to stay with family and children.
We stayed here with few friends do at this hotel. The location is amazing with very nice well room setup giving a village feeling. It's the best place to hang go over weekend and is hardly 2 hrs by road from bangalore city.
It was an awesome one night out option in BLR serene, genuine n all worth it. I had read multiple reviews & hand mixed feelings but i was proved wrong.. enjoy d rustic day here
