Riva Beach Resort

Riva Beach Resorts entrance is on the main road going towards Mandrem. There is a 24 hr restaurant (of Riva, room service is also provided by this restaurant itself) at one side of the entrance and reception on the other side. On the opposite side of the road is a hill and even Riva Beach Resort is built on the sloping of the hill. When you go to the beach this view of hotel and the hill behind it gives this hotel a very luxurious look. Hotel has cottages in 3 levels asking the slope of the hill and that's the reason that all the rooms have clear front giving a great sea view which you can enjoy sitting in the private balcony of your room. There are some rooms at one side at the foot of the hill(the one you see in the main photo of Riva Beach Resort here on goibibo), these are not cottages and are probably superior than the cottages. there is a whole level of cottages which is under construction, though its in the final stages and by the look of it they will probably be completed in another 15-20 days. There are a few beach shacks under construction for the season just as you enter the beach after crossing the bridge leading up to there. Riva Beach Resort is an amazing property, however the staff is not very sophesticated. This is just an observation, I didn't have any bad experience with them. food here is okay, you may rather want to try the shacks if you are a foodie. If food is only a means to fill your stomach then you won't complaint with the food here at all. it rained continuously during my stay here but still it was a pleasant stay for me and my wife. The TV had tatasky connection and it was patchy even during clear weather. I had got great deal from Goibibo that's why it was value for money for me.

Riva beach resort is the place to visit in Goa, as some one want to take and want rest and peace it s the place, view was super, the river and sea view is mind blowing. rooms are fantastic, cocco wood resort is the best option to stay. room service is excellent ,food is fabulous, include recepetion housekeeping cleaning of room and all facility are good. popja at reception. is very help full. morning breakfast served is tasty and good. around resort area is very pleasent and nice to relax. swimming pool is available for free and nice people around you make your trip to north Goa very special. and to reach Riva beach resort is also not so hard. you can take a self driven car or bike from airport itself and ride to panjim 17 km from panjim to mupasa10 km from at beginning take left towards soilim and after soilim after bridge you have to go towards harmapl mandrem after a sharp u turn you have to go approx 7 km and on road of your left you will find Riva resort. near by you can go to arambol beach morjim ashvem .don't forget to go calungute vegator, anjuna, beach also they all are on same route and near to Riva beach resort also. I recommend Riva beach resort to all. and very thank full to all staff of riva resort for making our trip special with my family and we travelled with our infant and it was super. thank you. we had a pleasant and very relaxing vacation at Riva. The Location is just so breathtaking, fresh and calm that all the hustle and bustle of cities just vanish. The food was so tasty that we had our lunch and dinner at the waterfront resturant during our stay. would like to Thank Vijay the resturant manager at Riva for making the stay more plesant and lovely. He is one who keeps everything organised and so well planned..and giving undivided attention to every guest making them feel special and welcomed. We booked cocowood cottage but got it changed to luxary room, we got little disappointed with cocowood cottage as the cottage had smell and cleanliness issues...but when i conveyed the same I got the luxary room with the best view of the sea. Paid 1000 rs per night extra but that view from the room was worth it. Room was very spacious. Overall food , location and services are superb. nearby areas are not happening like calangute and baga but if u want a relaxed vacation this place is awesome. yoga and spa inside resort are a plus they also arrange kayaking and fishing at nominal charges. kids loved the pool. view from poolside is awesome...three water bodies in single view just beautiful.

I had booked at this resort considering Goibibo discount offer. Got two Coco wooden cottages for 2 nights for approximate Rs.**** per room per night.Had an overall pleasant stay and wonderful experience. Hereby I list my positive and negative points 1. Private and awesome,less crowded beach just walkable distance from your room 2. Waterfront view and an awesome lonely time spending place in complete silence 3.clean and well maintained lawn,pool and surrounding 4. Good but not great food in taste and variety considering the price. 5. Located Very far from the mainland goa in Mandrem beach, no go for shoppers, nearby shopping place is Baga beach 25 kms away, will need 2 wheelers on rental basis to commute as the cab services are way too expensive.{2k for your one-way trip to Vasco,3.5K for your south goa one day tour,1.2K for drop at Thivim railway station which usually costs Rs.750 by prepaid taxi} 6. Rude and exorbitantly priced cab services makes the far placed resort very hot on pockets. 7. Early check in can not be confirmed even after landing and enquiring over phone. 8.No other entertainment or sports activities. 9. Rooms need upgrade for their toilet accessories.

This a a great hotel with the closer approach to the clean beach. We booked the Ac cottage room facing the river and the beach. It was awesome !! You view the waves in the day time. I love the restro food. Everything made in their kitchen is fresh and without preservatives. Must try is their tandoori pomfret fish, goyan fish curry, thai curry, tandoori chicken .. We enjoyed the nice clean pool facing the beach waves. Enjoyed the beer on the pool side. I even tried their deep tissue massage for 1 hr and it was rejuvenating and superb and cost me only ...... Breakfast spread is lavish and many options. My many thanks to the restro managers Mr. Bipin for suggesting great cuisines. Their staff members such as Ajay, Dipankar and others served with great enthusiasm and courtesy. The Mandrem beach is very quiet and clean. You will only find Riva Beach Resort guests over here. No unnecessary crowd. In my suggestion, please add some activities for the kids apart from the pool. Please change the welcome wine to a better one such as Sula. Since you have so many coconut trees, please offer them to the guests as a daily treat.

We were looking for places at offbeat locations for a relaxing vacation.we booked the cottage at RIVA BEACH RESORT. Rooms:The cottage was spacious and cozy.The balcony was huge with an excellent sea view. Washroom were clean and equipped with all necessary toileteries. Food:The buffet breakfast had a large spread. With variety of courses to try from. The food was well cooked with perfect blend of spices. Waterfront restaurant had a large menu to choose from.overall good good. Service:The staff was prompt and courteous.Although the room service is tab bit delayed,had to remind them over n over. The work of water supply maintenance had started without any intimation to the guest,which resulted no water for 20-30 mins in the morning.(the tough situations). Amenities:The resort has variety of events that one can try.The charges for the activities are also nominal. The resort has a direct access to a wonderful beach. Overall excellent property.surely to choose it for a relaxing vacation. Scope of improvement: Parking space is required for the resort.guests have to park cars beside road.

stay- August 2021partial sea view room.out of 5 star.Location- Far north, an hour drive from baga. 58 km from airport, aprox one hour 40 min drive. 3 starReception- Helpful n polite staff, followed all necessary covid precautions. Delay in my room. 4 star.Property- Spreads over down hill from road towards sea. Lot of greenery. Not very huge but good size resort. 4 starRoom- we stayed in parial sea view, one can have sea view from balcony. Clean n spacious room with mini bar.5 star. Bathroom- Big n clean with most of needed amenities. No bathtub in partial sea view room. 4 starBeach- 100 mt walking through wooden bridge. Clean beach with life guard. No beach shacks during August. 4 starSwimming pool- Average size n clean. Serves snacks n drinks, poolside. u get sea view from pool. 3 starBreakfast- 3 star ( all depends on your taste buds)overall a good resort, if u won't mind spending some extra time in travelling. services are good. One can relax here as its away from crowded places like calangute. Arambol beach is approx 5-6 km from here, one can find beach shacks round the year.

one of the best hotel in India location wise. just three things hotel should take care of. firstly clean the entrance of the beach from Riva Beach Resort side. Bcoz rest of the beach is very much clean. we rarely found any garage on the beach.secondly just take care of cleaning of the rooms specially sides of cupboards, walls, ceilings. there were lots and lots of dust between the gap of cupboard and wall which may be was not cleaned for months due to which there were insects like household casebearers on the walls, ceilings, cupboard. and lastly do change washroom plumbing systems. many had rust, basin pipe was not cleaned for months, taps were leaking. i didnt clicked pics bcoz i felt it would wrong on part of me. Besides all this hotel property is very good. surroundings are very well maintained. food is also very tasty. and staff is also very nice, friendly, co operative. would surely visit again. Do take this message as a suggestion and not complaint.

Fantastic place. Stayed here from 9th to 12th september 2016. The resort is very neat and clean and very well maintained. The rooms are good value for money. The pool is good , lawns and the access to the beach also is quite comfortable. The only concern is the slow service , which at sometimes gets delayed and have to call 2 or 3 times. Room Cleaning ( house keeping ) guys come only at a particluar time. Reception staff and restaurant staff are helpful and quick to response. The wifi is slow at times and signing in repeatedly with new passwords is painful. Food quality is very good , but expensive as compared to other similar hotels. Drinks cost you huge dent in your pocket.. Bar prices are as expensive as in a lounge bar in mumbai. Be prepared for this , but 100% worth a visit to this wonderfully maintained ****** resort. Overall a memorable experience. Lovely place. Good comfort.

pros- 1.Nice beautiful small resort. 2.Away from city.. 3.beautiful location 4.beautiful beach 5.nice pool 6.rooms are good. ( can't say about all rooms) 6.Activities available. 7.Less crowded beach connected via a wooden bridge 8. Helping front desk but they disconnect call without listening to you sometimes. 9 Airport pick and drop available. 10. Lunch and Dinner on order was good. cons- 1.Restaurants service is slow and poor. 2. food on expensive side as per quality. 3.Free breakfast is not good. Being a frequent traveler. I was disappointed from breakfast. 4.No other good location to visit near to riva. 5.Room service and housekeeping is slow and not upto the mark. I asked for a bathrobe but no one understood my requirement in entire resort .. :-( 6. No plates or wine glass will be provided in room unless you buy food and drinks from resort. 7. 65 km from airport.

Travelled as a family with two kids. Hotel location and rooms are excellent. The only area where i see a scope of improvement is hospitality. Breakfast provided is very good but support staff is very lazy. Went for breakfast and asked for omelette,the staff which was supposed to prepare was not there for more than 25 mins,ultimately I had to remind him to cancel my order. Went for dinner at the restaurant and ordered butter naan,instead I was served Garlic naan,then ordered plain tawa roti but was served butter tandoori roti and was charged accordingly :( on the day of checkout asked for two complimentary water bottles as we did not take them on second day of stay but the staff refused. Dear Suraj: you have a superb resort but the staff behaviour and hospitality standard should be improved. please train them accordingly.

The Resort is well located Geographically, its on the mountain and you get lake and beach along. One of the best resorts I have stayed in Goa. But if you are visiting Goa for sight seeing this hotel is not the one to opt for as the places are around 20-25km away from this hotel and that will take around 1.5-2hours to travel. However if you stay here no need to go out as the vibes are awesome here. There are 2 restaurants in the resort one at the entrance is of Russians (Please avoid visiting it), another belongs to resort itself which has very good menu and taste is top class. Resort has fiber swimming pool so if u wear cotton and go into it might be injurious to your skin (mainly females) better carry a swimming costume. Overall had awesome experience off season in the resort. Will surely visit manytimes in future.

I had booked delux room. On arrival was informed the check in time was 2pm. Requested fro early check in but was offered lower category room (pretext was Delux room was not available). I think was available but not given. Next day had to request to change it to Delux category as i had paid for delux category room. Since i stayed for 2 days, requested for complimentary breakfast on 1st and 2nd day as i was not supposed to have it on the last day (day of departure) which is quite normal as per standard hotel industry norms world over but even after request, they didnt agree to it and i had to pay for breakfast on 1st day and last day i didnt have the breakfast..quite surprising..Other than the service standards, resort is awesome for couples, serene beach, wide spread, good breakfast..must go for all couples..

Very nice property at secluded mandrem beach. Stayed at the sea view cottage. A decent enough swimming pool,then the river and then the beach. Good breakfast spread. food is tasty with prompt service and a wide variety to choose from. few items are also available in their 24 x 7 kitchen, specially the biryani was awesome. U can relax sitting at the pool area where you can order your drinks and snacks. Sea view cottages were luxurious, a sofa set, comfortable bed and bath tub. My rooms a.c. wasnt working. took 3hrs and multiple reminders to finally decide that they will change my room. They only unpleasant thing at the resort. Spa service was available though we did not use it. Overall a very nice resort to stay, supposedly the best in mandrem/ashwem. will definitely stay there again on my next visit.

A nice resort, away from the hustle & bustle of busy Goan beaches like Baga & Calangute. It is perfect for people looking for nice relaxing holiday near the beach. We stayed in Premium Suite with sea view. Although you can't see much of the sea from the room. The room was big & clean with all necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was also clean, but the towels provided in the bathroom had some weird smell If you are used to spicy north Indian food, the food there might not appeal to you. The room service was prompt & the staff was also courteous. Beach is very close to the resort and that is a plus. It is a nice, clean beach & one can go for a walk to Arambol beach in the evening easily. I would definitely stay at Riva Resort the next time I visit Goa.

It is the most beautiful and relaxing place you can imagine while you are in Goa. Location of this resort is near the best beaches of Goa like Arambol, Ashwem, Morjim.. I could see the Sea from my bathtub. How else can u expect to relax in Goa. Market is near the resort so you don't have to worry about feeling away from basic amenities.. Food was also a plus point. Breakfast was really good and enjoyed eating. Suraj (hotel manager), I hope you remember me and if you read this review, I would like to Thank you for your professionalism and all your hotel staff for great service. initially when reached car parking was a major drawback as no proper parking available at the resort. Check-in process was smooth and receptionist were very helpful. Rooms were pretty decent with amenities inside. Whole resort area was quite good, maintained well and clean.Beach access from resort is very beautiful specially night time with lights. Room service is very good and staff are very polite. Overall stay at resort was excellent other than parking which can be improved. we had celebrated birthday at resort after going to resort reception and they confirmed it in short time and prepared well. we had ordered cake at resort which was very tasty and worth the amount . I had ordered dinner in room which was excellent, reasonable rates and worth it.

Very good resort, friendly staff, good food. The beach is beautiful, very clean & quite. Entry to beach is through a beautiful wooden bridge on the water stream between the resort and beach. There is a swimming pool on the beach front and the view of sea from the pool and pool side is amazing, specially at sunset. Now it will take you time to reach the resort if coming from Airport, it took us 2 hours from Airport almost same time as our flight, however the moment you enter the peace, the beautiful setting makes the time travel worthwhile. You can take long evening & morning walks at the beach, go for fishing, kayaking or get a Spa, or you can just sit by poolside or in the garden with friends or family have beer. Overall we had a wonderful time there.

Very nice resort and peaceful stay . The food is awsome and the location ,rooms, beach and ambience are very good .We had booked room for 3 days but due to medical emergency we had to checkout after 1 day although there is no cancellation policy but Riva Beach Resort staff and specially thanks to Mr. Nicholos Fernadis understand our situation and gets the room cancelled and refunded the money also.Thanks to staff and authority of hotel riva beach resort which understand our situation and consider the cancellation .This hotel definately visit if you love peace, beaches , food and quality. Eager to visit this hotel again. I had given 4 star for location beacuse it is far away like 10 km froom main area and beach of gos rest all perfect. Thanks

It was my first visit to Riva beach resort and I found this resort just fantastic.The location is far from the crowded calangute area.This resort has a private access to the beautiful mandrem beach which is so clean and secluded.I bet this resort would leave you in complete tranquillity with the nature.The sea front resturant is like feather in the Crown. The food is so nice and mouth watering.All the rooms are unique in their designing and infrastructure.And lastly, the swimming pool is just fabulous.I have never seen a better location other than this see front swimming pool.I would love to go Riva beach resort again and again.Thnks to all the teams of goibibo and Riva beach resort to make my vacations the most memorable. .
