Things to keep in mind before planning your Char Dham Yatra:

  • Travelers must register online at https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/
    signin.php and visit on the given dates.
  • The Char Dham Yatra Registration or procurement of Yatra ePass is mandatory for all travelers.
  • Registrations are open from 10th June.
  • Travelers with prior registrations can travel now.
  • After registering, travelers get a Unique Registration Number (URN).
  • The URN is needed by the driver to get a Green Card and Trip Card.
  • Share your URN by calling MMT Customer Care at (insert IVR number) at least 24 hours before your travel date, and the vehicle owner will arrange the Green Card from the local RTO or SRTO.
  • Itinerary Details for the Char Dham Yatra: Yamunotri is the starting point of the pilgrimage, and from there, the route leads to Gangotri, followed by Kedarnath and Badrinath.

    Delhi to Haridwar

    The Char Dham Yatra commences from Delhi, the capital city of India. Pilgrims make their way to Haridwar, the gateway to the Char Dham circuit.

    Haridwar to Yamunotri

    After reaching the base point, Jankichatti, there is a 6 km trek to reach the Yamunotri temple.

    Yamunotri to Gangotri

    The temple of Gangotri is situated in the town of Uttarkashi.

    Gangotri to Kedarnath

    To reach the Kedarnath temple, pilgrims need to trek for approximately 16 kms from Gaurikund, the base point.
