Yes, Tatkal tickets can be cancelled. No refund is available on cancellation of confirmed Tatkal tickets. However, a certain amount of charge is deducted as per IRCTC rule on cancellation of waitlisted Tatkal tickets and the rest is refunded. Tickets can be cancelled 30 minutes before the departure of the train and if waitlisted trains do not convert into confirmed or RAC, they automatically get cancelled, and the amount is refunded.
